I spent a night at the Bivouac, and eventually wished I could stay more time. The location is beautiful, and the place is incredibly confortable considering that it's in the middle of the dunes - you get clean bed sheets (really clean...), a beautiful place for night bonfires, and catering level as good as in any good restaurant. But the... More

So I wrote this review after much consideration. There were plenty of solid/good/great elements. There were also some not awesome elements, and I want to leave a critique that fairly depicts both the good and bad of the trip The Good: First of all, I can't say enough good about both our berber guide and the gentleman who greeted us.... The piece of desert you are going to visit with the amazing guys of Desert Bivouac is simply one of the most beautiful and quiet place on earth. The trip was perfectly organized from the beginning (by email and then on site), and despite we traveled during the Ramadan and in one of the hottest period of the year, it... More

I travelled a lot in my life, have seen a lot of beautiful places, but this bivouac and the desert are something very special. This scenery catches not just the eye, it even catches your soul. This is a fantastic place to be. The bivouac is very traditional and comfortable, the tour to Chegaga - especially by cameltrekking - the... More

We left M'Hamid 5 hours later than planned- we were forced to spend the afternoon and eat lunch at a dirty hotel when we were originally told we would be leaving at midday- we had to pay for drinks and for using their mouldy pool and facilities! When we finally left M'Hamid we were only allowed to stop for 3... More

I came to M'Hamid with the intention of staying here for 1 night and ended up staying here for 5 days! I had visited the dunes in Merzouga a few days prior and M'Hamid was by far more amazing. In Merzouga you still have some light pollution from the nearby villages and noise pollution from all the quads and off... More
