Dar Sidi Bounou has a serendipitous quality -- it's the sort of place you might stumble upon and then never leave. Part of the captivating charm lies in the location: a pretty main building with comfortable separate chalets and tents amid ever-encroaching sand and date palms. Dar Sidi Bounou is a beautiful haven of relaxation run by lovely people. Nancy, Daoud and their team are so welcoming and kind and will make your trip very special. Wonderful food and the best service. We take groups there twice a year and have never had any bad comments from anyone and many come back with us.

We stayed at Dar Sidi Bounou for 9 nights after a 2 day drive from Marrakech. The Atlas Mountains and the desert landscapes of the Draa Valley were stunning. We arrived late afternoon as the rising wind was rising blowing sand across the road. It was as if the desert was playing to form and expectation for the visitors. Our... More

We stayed one night at Dar Sidi Bounou before Said took us on a overnight desert trip in a 4x4. I've rarely experienced such a wonderful place! It is so welcoming, enchanting and just perfect that you really don't ever want to leave again. Nancy and Daoud helped us with getting some ideas how to make the most of your... More

Having arrived down single track roads with 2 kids fed up of driving for the last 8 hours we wondered what to expect. We were immediately welcomed to this lovely place. It is so relaxed that straight away we felt we were part of the furniture! The children absolutely adored having free reign of the dunes, palms and tents and... More

The staff really make the place and the location is straight out a movie. I've been twice and long to go back and introduce my husband and other friends to the delights of this desert destination. There's plenty to do in the area and the staff are delighted to help you get the most out of your stay. Bounou is... More

We had a three day stay at this wonderful place where we immediately felt at home when we arrived. Nancy and the whole crew made this a unique experience with their charming hospitality. The night out in the desert with some sandstorm was quite exciting and an experience I would not miss. We highly recommend this place to everyone who... More

We were on a driving trip through morocco in a motorhome, but we had read of Dar Sidi Bounou and wanted to just take a look. When we drove in, we just fell in love with this little oasis of peace and tranquility in the hectic place that is Morocco. Nancy let us stay in our motorhome, though she did... More

Arriving during the last week in April, we were warmly greeted by the staff at Dar Sidi Bounou and basically given the run of the place, as we caught them right before the real desert tourist season began. Nancy is a wonderfully well-connected and charming conversationalist, eager to learn about you and to share her own experiences as an artist,... More
