very authentic place on the edge of the desert, the owner Nancy is very welcoming, friendly and entertaining, room is rather simple and there was often no water, in itself no problem, made experience only more authentic, but 150 euro for 1 night (including food) is a bit much maybe, location is wonderful at edge sand dunes, also very beautiful... I've just got back from an amazing trip to Morocco. Staying at Dar Sidi Bounou was a privilege. After a very long and tiring journey from Marrakesh that meant we didn't arrive until after 10pm, the staff greeted us with warm enthusiasm and served up a lovely meal. It only got better from there. Being able to visit and stay... More

I came to Dar Sidi Bounou the second time, which was another excellent experience. The location is great because you have palms and dunes just behind the backyard. A perfect place to relax and recover. The food is very good too, and thanks to the hospitality of Dar Sidi Bounou, one feels welcome. Being a great place for creative purposes,... More

We stayed here for three days in early April and it wasn't long enough!! Dar Sidi Bounou is a beautiful and enchanting space and its easy to see why previous reviewers have continued to return here year after year. I could easily have spent weeks here myself - you very quickly figure out that you are somewhere a little bit... More

We spent another memorable week staying at Dar Sidi and this time taking in the Taragalte Music festival. As always the staff at DSB looked after us like family and as soon as you arrive you feel the cares of the world falling away. As well as visiting the festival, which was incredible, we drummed, danced, did some healing and... More

We opted to book in advance here as we thought it could be a bit transient and soulless down in the desert. Arrived with two touring bikes in the boot of a grand taxi to be greeted by Nancy and Daouud, with an almost protective embrace; truly welcome after after several days cycling to Zagora from M'kech. Unfortunately didnt get... More

Everyone at DSB will do their very best to make your stay as good as it can be. Everything is very clean and tidy and the meals are all home cooked and delicious. Although it's located in the desert and water is not available some of the time, it was always possible to get a hot shower at some time... More

Nancy and her team at DSB are truely fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. So many helpful emails before we arrived, a team waiting on the road to pick us up from the bus and a full course meal at 10pm at night - so generous and kind. Before you rush to book this place - it is not a... More

Many thanks to Gemma, and all the others who have reviewed Dar Sidi Bounou on tripadvisor, for their kind appreciation of our simple facilities and what we can provide ... and also for their patient tolerance of our shortcomings, particularly with regard to the current water shortage. It is a great pleasure, and a privilege for me, to have the... More

We spent two nights at Dar Sidi Bounou - a fleeting visit during our week's holiday based in Marrakech - and are already planning our return. We loved the buzz of Marrakech, the longing winding drive down through the breath taking Atlas Mountains, and of course, first experiencing the tranquility of the desert dunes is truly magical, but the highlight...
