We spent another memorable week staying at Dar Sidi and this time taking in the Taragalte Music festival. As always the staff at DSB looked after us like family and as soon as you arrive you feel the cares of the world falling away. As well as visiting the festival, which was incredible, we drummed, danced, did some healing and... More

We opted to book in advance here as we thought it could be a bit transient and soulless down in the desert. Arrived with two touring bikes in the boot of a grand taxi to be greeted by Nancy and Daouud, with an almost protective embrace; truly welcome after after several days cycling to Zagora from M'kech. Unfortunately didnt get... More

Everyone at DSB will do their very best to make your stay as good as it can be. Everything is very clean and tidy and the meals are all home cooked and delicious. Although it's located in the desert and water is not available some of the time, it was always possible to get a hot shower at some time... More

Nancy and her team at DSB are truely fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. So many helpful emails before we arrived, a team waiting on the road to pick us up from the bus and a full course meal at 10pm at night - so generous and kind. Before you rush to book this place - it is not a... More

Many thanks to Gemma, and all the others who have reviewed Dar Sidi Bounou on tripadvisor, for their kind appreciation of our simple facilities and what we can provide ... and also for their patient tolerance of our shortcomings, particularly with regard to the current water shortage. It is a great pleasure, and a privilege for me, to have the... More

We spent two nights at Dar Sidi Bounou - a fleeting visit during our week's holiday based in Marrakech - and are already planning our return. We loved the buzz of Marrakech, the longing winding drive down through the breath taking Atlas Mountains, and of course, first experiencing the tranquility of the desert dunes is truly magical, but the highlight... Dar Sidi Bounou may not be for everyone, but for my friend, Lynn, and me, it was just perfect. It was the least luxurious place we stayed in Morocco, with the fewest creature comforts - but thanks to Nancy and her extraordinary friends and staff, it was also the warmest, most welcoming, most authentic. It's a place where you're made... More

I think you will either love it or hate it although I have to admit to being somewhere in the middle. I am sure my overall view is coloured by the weather we experienced while we were here. After a long drive we arrived to no water. It was windy, sand blowing everywhere and hot. No shower and you couldn't... More

Although this Senior Reviewer found this ... "a hard review to write"... she was not too slow in writing it. She drove out, leaving Dar Sid Bounou after 3 days, on May the 31st... and the review appeared on May 31st... so possibly the Reviewer wrote it when she first arrived... rather than after she had departed. i always thought... Coming to Dar Sidi Bounou regularly now as it such a wonderfully peaceful place with friendly people, excellent food and just the right 'desert chill'. It is always a pleasure to come back and enjoy the Berber hospitality, dance around the campfire, drum in sunrise and sunset and escape the world for a while.
