I booked this hotel to celebrate my second wedding anniversary with the expectation that it would be a relaxing and special experience. Unfortunately this did not prove to be the case for us. I would concur with the many other reviews who state that there are wonderful grounds and facilities at Fota .We were lucky enough to stay in the... More

This Hotel needs some serious overhauling. From Staff with bad attitudes to dated and dark decor, it is mess. The rooms are dark and badly laid out. Storage space is limited with doors opening out into the room effectively trapping you. The creaking floorboards combined with a serious lack of storage for anything except your overnight stay. In order to... More

Stayed here recently for three nights. Beautiful hotel , grounds are amazing which include golf course and also colour coded walks around the resort. Check in was quick and informative, room was standard , a bit on the small side,( nicely decorated and great blackout curtains) but the bathroom made up for that. Amazing!!! Lots of lovely fluffy towels, robe,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2014. Had been here previously in 2009. The hotel looked like it had been updated in the meantime and the landscaping was much improved. Once again, the staff here are lovely and welcoming and it is a very child friendly hotel. Breakfast is super and everywhere is very comfortable. One gripe - the... More

I've been to 7 weddings this summer, the food at this one was the best. So come with an appetite- and don't miss breakfast. Beds super comfortable and the suites are huge with a massive private seated balcony surrounding them. The only negative is that the hotel feels a little corporate. Book a Swedish back massage (50 euro) and being... More

This was our third visit to Fota with our son (5). We love the freedom that the self-cating lodges give us as well as proximity to the wildlife park, Cobh, and Cork city if you're bored. I was interested to see what the new owners had done with the place since our last stay. It's definitely looking better, with both... More
