5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Recently stayed here for four nights. we were looking for something a little off the beaten track and yet comfortable. We scored on both counts. Celestun is a quiet little fishing village with Ironically no fish market to my disappointment. Our hosts however facilitated by contacting one of the local fishermen to bring us some fresh fish which was just... More

It's very rare that I find accomodations that make me feel as comfortable as I am in my own home. I'm pretty fussy about cleanliness, and both my husband and I are tough judges when it comes to quality of construction and the provisions supplied. The owners of Celeste Vida have nailed it. We enjoyed 4 days here, staying in... More

My husband and I stayed at Casa de Celeste Vida for two nights during a trip around the Yucatan and I was absolutely blown away by this place! The view down the breezeway as you first see the property is stunning, with the ocean, neatly landscaped yards and pretty gates. The hosts are lovely people, very friendly and helpful, and... More

If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful and culture-filled destination, this place is perfect for you. You can wake up to breathtaking views of the ocean and walk for miles on the uncrowded beach. You won't find more knowledgeable hosts who go above and beyond what can be expected. I recommend renting a vehicle because there are plenty of... More

When my husband and I arrived at Casa de Celeste Vida, we were surprised and amazed. The view, upon entering through the gates, was spectacular. A hint of what was to come. One looks straight down the driveway to the house, and through the house/courtyard, to the gate opening on to the beach, and the ocean. Which beckons you! What... More

We stayed for 2 nights, we enjoyed every minute of it. We were looking for a more quite and relaxed setting. If you are looking for quality time, service and enjoy really fresh sea food (in the town) this is the place to go. The ride is 90 minutes from the airport ( if you rent a car) or 2-3... More

We visited this house to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as we wanted to have a nice and quite place to stay for a couple of days. The house has three little "casitas" with a small kitchen and access to a bigger one. We prepared our food every day and enjoyed the beach as much as we could (some mosquitoes, so... More

We have returned to Casa de Celeste Vida after 6 years and loved it even more, which we didn't think was possible! It is far enough outside Celestun to be peaceful and serene yet close enough to walk up the beautiful white sand beaches into the town center and buy fresh fruits and veggies at the market . You are... More

As the Americanization of Cancun continues, along with the unrelenting price increases, more travelers have discovered the Yucatan Gulf Coast and Celestun. Long known for its winter migrating flamingos, Celestun offers year-round sun, clean beaches, safety (unlike Cancun), great seafood and, best of all, Casa de Celeste Vida. The antithesis of the Cancun soak-em-for-all-they've-got hotel mentality, Casa de Celeste Vida... More

We had a wonderful time. We discovered Celeste Vida while traveling to Celestun two years ago. We had a great time and decided to return for a longer stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Kenn and Karen (the owners) are great hosts. We flew into Merida and Kenn picked us up and and drove us to Celeste Vida, and... More
