We have been wanting to come down for years and so glad we finally made it! A great place to come and relax, the location is fabulous on a quiet beach, great for walking and shell gathering. The town has everything you need, a market, bakery and small grocery stores fully stocked. We stayed in the casita, which was very... More

Wonderful place! Beautiful setting on a wide, quiet beach-- great for swimming, walking, and shell gathering. Lovely sunsets. 2 units have standard bed and bathroom, as well as a small kitchen off to one side and a little table for dining by the window. Also ample tables and chairs for sitting outdoors. 3rd unit is larger. Very clean and very... More

Very pleasant establishment a kilometer or so north of the main town. Relaxing setting right on the beach. Not much to do here (aside from the flamingo tours) but that's why you come! AS other reviewers have said, the hosts were great - thoughtful and accommodating. There's full kitchen for use of the guests, which is a nice touch. Fine... More

Wow!!! Went here for three nights with our family of five, and we loved it The Casa de Celeste Vida is beyond beautiful and had everything our family needed to be comfortable; it has hammocks, lounge chairs, outdoor tables and chairs, a perfectly appointed apartment, and a quiet, private location. Kenn and Wanda were the greatest hosts -- kind, friendly,... More

We've had a great (but too short) time at the house and would always go back to see the sundown. It's a far off place and the village is quite small with only a few options to dine. But, the beach is great, the people are super-nice, the apartments quite and well equipped. Great place to finish a book, see... More

4.5 stars. We had such a nice three-night stay at Casa de Celeste Vida. We stayed in the larger apartment, and it was an ideal space for the two of us. We appreciated all the little touches, including some excellent books and DVDs, and since we don't have US cable in Mexico, we enjoyed watching US football on the flatscreen!... More

Wanda was an incredible host, and I'm not just saying that because Canadians stick together. This inn was beautiful and generous in every way. The grounds are incredible, the beach is right there, and they've thought of every possible way to make a stay amazing. It's not a super fancy place, but everything you need to have taken care of... I had only planned on staying a couple of nights in Celestun to regroup and recover from a minor injury, but my stay was extended more days because I just couldn't get myself to leave this fantastic place. I am an active traveler and have never been good at beach vacationing. This place changed my mind, and I am actively... More

We spent a night at Casa de Celeste Vida as part of our 2 week family holiday on the Yucatan Peninsula. We took the apartment which has a full kitchen. In fact we were the only guests at the hotel the night we stayed so had the extensive garden area all to ourselves. My husband and teenage kids took the... More

We came across the Yucatan peninsula in early January 2015 and spent nights in Valladolid and Merida and visited various ruins, which were great. But the high point of the trip, the vacation part of the vacation, was our stay at Casa de Celeste Vida. Our hosts were down-to-earth and unfailingly helpful. It also makes a big difference that they... More
