It already started in check in with not working card terminal. I had to call to Expedia and figure out way around otherwise they didn't accept my booking confirmation and told me I have to pay cash with nearest atm approx 1 hr. They totally didn't care. Totally unprofessional stuff. For dinner pizza which was brought from nearby town already... More

We have been to playa maya 3 times and love it. Friendly staff, wide open beautiful beaches few tourists.fun beach for shell hunting.the many different colors of the water reminded me of The Rivera Maya .nice clean spacious rooms w great view of beach water.

The resort location is far from town, approximately 25 minutes out on a bumpy dirt road. The location is a key reason for my 3 star rating. Our room was decently decorated, beds were comfortable and water warm. I was satisfied but not overly impressed. Restaurant service for the complimentary breakfast was great. The staff was super attentive, friendly and... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. The pool is as magnificent as it looks, fresh water. It's a little cold, but that's typical at resorts in MX I have found. Be aware that there are a lot of bees that congregate under the bridge, but they didn't seem to bother. The grounds are manicured. The restaurant had a good breakfast.... More

It's a pity! This place could be so beautiful and relaxing if only the employees/management would be helpful / responding. The "resort" is situated 6km from the town, on a gravel road not so bad (they restored the road not long ago). The Villas are not all situated on the beach but max 100m from it. The pool is clean... Just back from Celestun and we were VERY dissapointed by this "resort", we arrived late after a very bumpy, long drive down an unpaved road that took forever!!!! and the room that was assigned us ( we reserved ahead for 4 pax) had a very sorry looking futon in living area and a bed in other room, but the "futon"... I stayed here with my family on a spring vacation, and the time of year essentially provided us with miles of private beach. The land here on the Yucatan peninsula is very pretty and the area fairly quiet, but the location is still within a reasonable drive to more populated parts. The resort, houses, and rooms are all well-maintained, clean,... More

Took the family here for a week . We are on a budget so I like that there's a kitchen and we did not have to eat out every night. Very clean, well equipped, great beach for sea shelling.

This is a nice, quiet place on the Yucatan's west side, easy drive from Merida, little longer from Cancun but the highways are great. Rentals are 1 or 2 bedroom houses with kitchens. If you're looking for sun and sand and without the madness of Cancun, this place is great. Nice little town of Celestun is close by, and there... More
