The hotel is clean, big and comfortable. Its among the cheapest accommodation that you can find in Macau and I must stay that it's beyond my expectations. The staff is friendly, the room is clean and its big enough to even accommodate 6 person in their standard room! I booked 2 single beds and the bed is so big that... More

Good for hotel stay but not for casino. Shuttle bus service to jetty is free of charge, regular and punctual. Hotel is located in just 5 minutes drive from jetty. Surrounded with restaurants and shops. Hotel price is reasonable and value for money with spacious and clean room, twin beds are in queen sized beds. Facilities are well maintained.

Sub par hotel, would stay somewhere else next time. Pros - Large rooms - Shuttle to ferry terminal - Walkable to the major casinos Cons - uncomfortable bed - view was into peoples apartments next door - No hotel lobby - poor wi-fi - shower was slow to drain - despite the size, the room was rather sparse. No table,... More

Well, i was not expecting much when I checked in. Macau hotels are essentially just places people go to sleep after a day at the casino. The Rio has its own gaming floors, but has no slot machines. The room itself was sizeable, but the room i got on the 6th floor reeked of stale smoke, despite the numerous "No... More

The Rio is old, unfriendly and not focused on westerners. The rooms were clean well presented and a generous size by Asian standards. But the quality was low, hard mattress, horrible pillows and cheap linen... remember 200 plus a night!!!! Location in in the business district and walking distance to the Hong Kong Macau ferry. There is not a lot... More

Only good thing was the breakfast buffet. A good selection of choices and you can eat as much as you like. Sadly, unhelpful and unfriendly staff. Hotel is a long way from the old town and it's easy to get lost if you walk. Taxis are metered though and regular. There is a shuttle bus to the ferry. Website is... More

Staff are unhelpful and hardly ever smile. We got the feeling the hotel is struggling. The foyer shops are closed, the slots machines are nowhere to be found, the restaurant is closed 'for refurbishment' and the bar is tatty and is like a cupboard only seating about 8 people, it's dark with no atmosphere. Our room rate included two free... More

Nice, Grand style hotel with clean comfortable beds. In close proximity to the Portuguese quarter and many of the casinos. Within walking distance of central area but get a map from the concierge so as not to get lost.

After being in many small rooms, this hotel was a welcome site. The rooms were big, comfortable, and non smoking. Reception actually asked for smoking or non. The t.v. must have been 40' plus. Reception also told me because I booked online, the minibar was free. When I opened the minibar there was one coke, one diet coke and one... More

The rooms wand bathrooms were very spacious. Everything was clean, modern, and extremely comfortable (although the beds were typical hard Chinese beds). The staff were not very kind, friendly, or accommodating (in fact, every single person we encountered seemed highly underwhelmed by their job). Breakfast was totally not worth the money because although they had tons of options, most items... More
