My husband's office helped us booked this package over the weekend because both of us were busy travelling. The package comprises of 2 return TurboJet tickets and a superior room, and it costs HK$1,452.00. That's fairly good value. We'd not be posting any photos as the photos posted are very good representative of the rooms and "ocean view" from our... more

Never having been a picky hotel guest, I was surprised to learn that 5 star in Macau means 3-4 star North American standard. I can't understand why hotels choose to put light colored carpet in their rooms when it's well known that everything shows. Granted we stayed in a superior room which is considered the least expensive of them all,... more

stayed at this hotel along with office colleagues for an offsite. so this was a base from which we explored Macau. Only issue is its far from other places and the town. rooms were big, clean and spacious and they offered breakfast and evening tea as well. it feels little like a casino hotel, but then its much much more... more

Picked this hotel based on other reviews on this site, and we weren't disappointed. Here's the main points about the Grand Waldo... 1) A lot of complaints centre around "The staff didn't speak English!". Discount such reviews for the nonsense they are. Of course the staff are going to speak Chinese... you're VISITING CHINA - D'UR!!!!!! People who whinge about... more

Stayed for 4 nights at the grand waldo hotel. like many have already mentioned, this hotel is sort of situated next to nowhere. But it's one of the closest hotel to the Venetian Macau. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in the Venetian but do not want to pay for the "Venetian rates", this would be... more

Came with my family (20+ group), stayed for 1 night and I don't speak the language. When we got there, it took forever to get our rooms (the head of our group spoke Chinese). While we sat in the lobby, the security guard told us the way we were sitting was incorrect. We're all adults (30-60 yrs) and it's a... more

My friend and I booked an Executive Superior Room at the Grand Waldo Hotel for four nights (Saturday through Wednesday). The casino claimed to have the biggest poker room in Macau, which was believable due to its relationship with pokerstars.com. But we quickly learned that size doesn't matter in this case, as the casino was not running ANY limit games... more

We just came back from Macau, stayed 4 nights in the Grand Waldo. We got a very good deal through PokerStars,I recommend looking into that. In our opinion the hotel didn't really reach 5 stars. Grand Waldo is quite far away from everything. That said, the shuttle bus system is excellent all over Macau and excellent quality -free of charge... more

Third trip to Macau so getting to know it pretty well .. Location : 10 mins taxi from Airport - about 30 mins from HK Macau Ferry Terminal. About 500m to the Venetian . New resort going up next door construction starting in about 6 months I think. Check In: Flawless - no problem at all - perfect English spoken... more

i stayed at the grand waldo around the chinese national holiday and enjoyed it. i have stayed at lots of nice hotels, and this one was easily a 4 star. i would happily stay there again and would recommend it to anyone going to macau. first of all, please note that macau hotels are much more expensive (double or even... more
