I stayed at the Pousada for 1 night on a 2 day trip in Macau. Located on the northern end of the Macau Peninsula (and minutes away from the China border) the Pousada de Mong Ha is quietly nestled on top of Mong Ha hill in a fairly quiet residential area on the campus of the Institute for Tourism of... more
This hotel is a real find in Macau. We were coming over from China so the Pousada de Mong Ha was in a perfect spot – just five minutes drive from the Border Gate. Lots of people have complained about the location of this hotel. True, it’s not within walking distance of the casinos and the centre of Macau. But... more
My family was not impressed with Macau after visiting the rest of China but this hotel was a cut above the rest. The staff was all very helpful (all students at the tourism school so all eager to help and offer advice). The rooms were very clean and bathrooms were large and organized. Our shower even had massage jets. There... more
Enjoyed staying here a lot, thanks to the friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere. The room was homely and just right, with nice little touches including a desktop computer (which is compact but not at all little - I'm sure you get my drift). I loved it that soon as we checked in, the lady student at the reception gave... more
Booked the hotel through the hotel website. I agree that the hotel is way out of the town and uphill. Everytime, I got to walk up the slope. It is abit tiring but can excerise your both legs. The internet in the room is free but you need to bring your own laptop. There is a grocery shop down hill... more
http://patnotebook.blogspot.com/2009/03/macau-hotel-pousada-de-mong-ha.html if you want a nice boutique hotel which is charming, quiet (and a little out of the way), then Pousada de Mong-Ha is for you. It is relatively affordable (e.g. I paid MOP 640.00 including breakfast for two which is about 127.45 SGD in March 2009). The hotel itself is actually part of the Macau Institute For Tourism Studies... more
We stayed in this hotel last weekend. Booked through the hotel website and the rate was the peak period charge since it's a peak season.. However the money that we paid was worth every cent. The room that we have is spacious (more like a suite room by HK standard), free internet usage in the room, complimentary welcome drink (and... more
We stayed at the Pousada on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews. We knew that the hotel was part of the Institute of Tourism's training school and have to say that the service was generally good and very friendly (although slightly headless chickens at times). We enjoyed our stay but would probably not return there. The hotel is fine, with... more
Outside of the location, which wasn't ideal, this place is fantastic. The staff consists of cute young students trying their best. the rooms are beautiful and have computers in-room. the free breakfast was great, and there's a free shuttle we made use of,. Wish I stayed there longer. On the downside it was difficult to get transportation out of the... more
