We recently enjoyed a three night stay at the Pousada de Mong Ha in Macau. This unique property (established in 1995) offers students of Macau's Institute for Tourism Studies the chance to learn their professional skills in a real world environment. The result is a combination of terrific traditional Portuguese decor, beautifully appointed rooms and suites, as well as hotel... More

Absolutely nothing to complain about here. Service is top notch and rooms (ours was the standard room, number 103) are well kept, but rates (holiday, weekend, or regular) are far cheaper than most hotels'. The young staff are very professional and helpful, and they're one of the best, if not the best, thing about the place. Minibar items are free... More

One of the loveliest places I have stayed in so far. The hotel is not one of these high multi-storey buildings but a small and welcoming place. It is a tiny little bit aside the main attractions, but nearly everything is in walking distance (apart from the ferry pier maybe). In general I had the impression that it is a... More

An atmospheric hotel maintained in Portuguese colonial style, with much attention to detail. The building itself looks historic. Located on the IFT campus, in a quiet slightly uphill location, some 3 km away from the downtown (which is reachable by #5 bus, but in the opposite direction the hotel is less accessible), or a 7-minute walk plus two bus stops... Excellent food and friendly staff. The room is very nice ....totally a relaxing place and away from the noise in the city :) there is a recreational park few steps up the hill...so for those who wanted to do jogging or sight seeing its really a good place.

It's our 2nd time in Mong-Ha hotel, thanks to all students, hotel is nice always always nice. location: It would be PERFECT if you know bus routes well. The bus stop just located @ foot of Mong-Ha Hill, #5.#17,#25X can take you to all hot spots, #9A,#25X can take you back, it's cheap. room: sapcious, amenities good & enough; buffet... More

This is my re-visit within a year. Still enjoyed the touching service from the students (equivalent to what Hotel Icon is doing in HKSAR). Close to flawless on their service except the dining facility. The renowned Portuguese restaurant operates only on Monday thru Friday nights, closes on weekend. Unfortunately, I never checked in at mid week, so bad! Really hope... More

Been to more than 12 countries and 100 hotels around the world (mostly US, Latin America and China, and of course other cities in Taiwan) and I'd say this would be the top 3 options there is even if it's for Business trip. Spacious, clean, quiet and exotic. You can get all the details and history at their website, but... More

This place is just lovely. Part of a hospitality training school, the staff a very keen to impress and do a good job. The rooms are relatively small but comfortable and quiet. There is free wifi, cool welcome drinks, a pleasant, if not extensive, breakfast included. There is a shuttle 3 times per day downtown or to the ferry terminal.... More

Macau is absolutely packed with visitors these days. This place is quiet, peaceful and staffed with genuine people doing their absolute best to give you a personal experience. And it's cheaper than the cookie-cutter 5 star hotels. There is a shuttle bus into the town/ferries or they call you a taxi. We'll be back.
