I and my partner were looking for a hotel in Macau last July 2014 when a travel agency in HongKong recommended us to New Century Hotel. We paid 2300 HK$ which was expensive during that time since we booked it on a Friday and Saturday (Most hotels in Macau double their prices during peak days of the week). When we... More

It's one of the cheapest hotels in Macau but the condition is not so good as well. There's no Wifi in the room. It's just near the University of Macau so many parents may choose to live here if they come to visit. Recently a new owner bought it and changed its name, but I guess there is no big... More

The room is big and nice, with all basic equipments. Refer to the attached photos. No complimentary water or tea in the room. -They said they have free shuttle to/from jetty but actually they don't have. -No wifi. -No restaurant or public transport nearby. -You have to take taxi and eat in their restaurant or call for room service. -Casino... And I thought I've stayed in a few bad hotels in China and Indonesia. None of those come close to the New Century Hotel in Macau. For starters the room looks old with mould and mildew on the walls. The carpets in the room look rotten with all sorts of stains on them. The room stank of tobacco, the bathroom... More

We were a party of eight who had been staying at a hotel nearby as part of a tour. Wanting to stay an extra night in Macau we found our original hotel was booked out so we had to move to what our agent assured us was a star-equivalent but in fact turned out to be an apparently early 1980's-created... I also took pictures and they are exactly the same as seen in previous reviews , so once might be unfortunate , but twice is certainly no coincidence. Thank goodness we were only booked in here for one night on part of a tour, which was advertised as 5*star by our tour ; which I had no reason to doubt... More

This is probably the first time I am writing a negative review and would do so when the hotel fails to meet even the minimum expectations as I usually am very patient and would accept the services even if one of the few is good. But for this hotel, I was completely disappointed. I booked this trough a travel agent... More

Tried this place as an alternative to Best Western Hotel Taipa, not a great choice. The other hotel was bad enough this place isnt an improvement. although the bed & pillows are atleast soft here, the mattresses must be 10 years old. The bedding and towels were clean but the bathrooms were not, quite a lot of mildew & soap... More

I went to Macau for a conference and the organizer put us in New Century Hotel. But even though I don't need to pay for my room, this is not a hotel I'll recommend to you. Its location is OK -- 10 minutes' walk and you'll get to the busiest part of Taipa. Otherwise, unless you need to visit the... More

My mom and I booked this hotel thinking it was a 5-star. We paid 690 rmb (about 100 usd) for one night, an acceptable price for a 5-star. however, when we arrived we knew immediately it wasn't going to be a good night. the service was horrendous. the lobby smelled like a dirty wet rag and all the elevators but...
