after arriving at this hotel i immediately realised why they had such a low rate for such a nice hotel. this place is under exterior renovation, which means the windows facing Vasco da Gama park are covered in green tarpaulin, and there is loud drilling noise every day from 10h00 to 18h00. during our stay, the swimming pool was closed... more

I stayed in Hotel Royal for 3 nights before heading for Guangdong. Was greeted by an exterior that will definitely put you into a panic. Old, almost run-down exterior* but the total opposite inside! Nice, clean and comfortable room, although I have problems with the air-conditioning and the thin pillows in room 1430. The staffs were very helpful and competence... more

On arrival to the royal we were pleasantly surprised by the beautifyul rooms. We got a free upgrade with afternoon tea, premium rooms and drinks all day. Breakfast daily was beautiful. It had all the Old fav's with B and E and fruit platters and baked goods but also chinese style with noodles (made to order infront of you), dim... more

The staff was easy to find once we left the ferry terminal. We got past the giant MGM signs etc. and found our guide waiting patiently on the side. We got to the hotel and were upgraded free of charge. Great start to the adventure! We spent 3 nights here and they were all great. Gym allowed me to run.... more

We arrived late in the afternoon coming from HK. We booked a deluxe room and was upgraded to a premier room free of charge upon arrival. This totally made my stay as it was freezing (not to mention raining) the entire 3 days we were in Macao during Chinese New Year and knowing we were coming back to a great... more

My wife and I were disapointed with the hotel's location, the hotel stands in a residential area with no tourist faciities nearby, although the run a shuttle bus to the shopping/casino region. If you are into exploring and have a map then It is a good 30 minute walk down to the main casino/shopping. The hotel is undergoing renovations and... more

There are three sections to this seventeen storey high rise hotel conveniently placed in the centre of Macau - the "Standard" floors, "DeLuxe" and the top three floors - "Premier". We stayed in a "Premier" room with a view over Vasco da Gama Square. The kingsize bed would have accommodated Henry VIII with all his wives. The bathroom was superb... more

Everything was exactly as we have expected, even more! Great service and helpful staff! Breakfast buffet was nice. Rooms and bathroom, very clean. Beds were a little small, but the room was large. Nice lobby. Walking distance to Senado Square and St. Paul's ruins. more

We loved this hotel for the following reasons: 1) most of its staff are Filipinos who made as feel at home; 2) the whole hotel has been newly renovated and smells very nice 3) the rooms are also newly furnished from the beddings to the beautiful marble tiled toilet to the new LCD TV 4) It is near the tourist... more
