We arrived at the hotel using the free shuttle bus service from the Macau ferry terminal. The service is not a regular as some of the other larger hotels. On arrival we noticed that we were in the best part of the town in terms of location, but the shuttle bus provided a service and Macau is small enough to... more

I was there from 15-19Nov09. The Superior room is very spacious. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation works. But no worry, you'll not hear anything. They'll stop work by the time you are back in your room. Ask for a room that is newly renovated, if possible. The bellboys are the most friendly and helpful people I've met in... more

We had a great time in this hotel. The staffs are courteous, rooms are clean and breakfast is great. The locaiton is not so good though they have a free transfer going to the ferry port. They also have free transfers going to Venetian Hotel (by schedule). more

Quite roomy, as i would have expected that in macau, most of the hotel rooms in macau are about the same size, and are quite comfortable. The location was weird, cos everytime we took taxi back, the room feels like back street, being one way only as well. There is a 7-11 about a 1min walk, but since there is... more

Stayed here for close to a month on business. Breakfast buffet is good, internet is fast enough by Macau standards, the gym is very underutilized but has pretty new cardio machines, and all in all it's a good place to stay. The pastry shop in the lobby has no place for you to sit, which makes for some unfortunate encounters... more

The choice of this hotel was made by the organisation booking this trip to Macau, but it was a good choice. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the major sites in this UNESCO Heritage City, but not part of the massive Casino complex in the lower part of the town. The lobby was bright and welcoming, the... more

We had booked this hotel as a second choice based on the reviews here. I must admit, it should have been the first choice. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the doorman of which took all our bags quickly and promptly from the taxi. We were then led inside with doors opening before us. Then greeted by Alex the... more

We went to Macau without gambling in our mind. Our main purpose was just relaxation and a tour, so Hotel Royal was best for us and we were not disappointed. It is away from all the noise of the city and it is just 10 minutes walk from the Senado. They also have a hotel shuttle that cover almost all... more

As soon as we arrived in the hotel, we were greeted by their very friendly staff. Our room was nice, the buffet breakfast was good. Kudos to Ronan (Front Desk), Nhap (Concierge) and Edmund (Lobby Lounge waiter). The hotel is also just a 10 minute walk to Senado Square. more

We booked ourselves in the Hotel Royal for one night following Tripadvisor's reviews and were not disappointed. Outside the place look a bit grey and outdated but the lobby and the rooms are great. We paid 750 HKD for a superior double which included breakfast and free internet and were positively surprised by the size and the decor or the... more
