4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013 NEW

We we were staying here for 2 days and 2 nights (May 13th 2013 to May 15th 2013). We booked Hotel Royal from Agoda, we got a pretty nice rate for 2 days and 2 nights. Staying in Hotel Royal were overall a great experiences. They have convinience shuttle services from Hotel to airport, Airport to hotel, Airport to ferry... More

Having stayed in a cheap and tiny Hong Kong hostel room for two nights, we were more than pleased with this hotel for our night in Macau. We stayed on a weekday and got an upgrade to a Deluxe twin room. The room and bathroom were very spacious, the window big. The bed was too hard for my liking, but... More

Well situated for walking the Old City. A few blocks from St Michaels Cemetary and 10 blocks from Guia Fort, I walked to the Ruins and Fortress/Museum in an hour. What I liked about the Royal Hotel: free shuttle bus from ferry terminal, large room with a view, fridge, kettle, big bathroom with tub and shower, safe for valuables, lots... More

This place is ok for Macau - basically you get what you pay for. It isn't very luxuous but the hotel is decent enough, very clean, well situated (walkable distance to the old macau and other big casinos like grand Lisboa, wynn...), service is decent and restaurant is good value for money. Their isn't any wifi in the rooms (only... More

I will try other hotels on future Macau trips before staying here again, but could very well end up coming back. Worth staying for the price. Room size is reasonable for Macau, and includes a refrigerator. Internet is though cable, not wireless. Rooms are clean. Furnishings are nice. Location is great, only about a 15 minute walk to the Grand... More

The hotel looks pretty nice, and there's all the amenities that you would expect in a proper hotel. But there's just so many little things that throws you off. The front desk staff are reluctant to serve you, the TV turns itself off every five minutes, there's no safe in the room to store our valuables in the day... I... More

The hotel is close to the old part of Macau. Had to take a taxi from the ferry as we couldn't find the hotel shuttle bus. Hotel is old but that made a change from all the modern ones we'd been staying in. The room was large, all the cons, bathroom was marble. BF was very standard. For the price... More

I've stayed at Royal Hotel many times over the past 16 years. They have done a good job on the renovation. The rooms are small but they are clean and comfortable. The staff are attentive, except when I went to check out there was nobody on the front desk, no bell staff, and I had to search for 10 minutes... More

Walk straight out the front door through the park and you are in the old center - which is what I am in town for. You are really only a couple blocks away from the Lisboa, but there is more to Macau. I would rather visit the glitz than stay in it. I found macau a delight to walk around... More
