I was there at March 2nd '2014 room number 6004. I was shocking after i get in bathroom. I found a cigarette in toilet and cockroach in side. The towel rack had some think look like a crust of dried blood. I was showing the pictures to hotel staff but she didn't look on those photos and only say sorry... More

Room was adequate. City view instead of river view. Not a problem since most of the mornings were hazy and not a good view of sunrise over the river. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Typical Asian buffet style. Bathroom was damp and mildew. Cleanliness improved the second day. Perhaps because I am farang. Seems that the staff used... More

Stayed 2 nights 26/27 August and was happy with facilities, parking etc. The room was quite okay except for the bathroom which had ridiculous fittings, washbasin, toilet and stupid narrow bathtub that one had to get into for a shower.(Never can figure out why they bother putting bathtubs in every room in most hotels, I would say 20% with bathtubs would... This wasn't the best of hotel experiences for me. I was only using it as a 'Visa Run' but though I might have gotten better value. The good points are that it is central and close to the market. It does have a pool and the front desk staff were great, but the room was very average and the corridors... More

As with most things when travelling in Thailand its a bit hit and miss... not this time. I stayed in this hotel some years ago and was reasonably impressed... now its even better. 700 baht for a clean, nice room with god hot shower and quiet air con and comfortable bed and breakfast... unbeatable... friendly staff, good welcome, good service... Parts of this hotel are bright and new, and others in serious need of a refit. Presumably the price you pay determines the age of your room. My stay was in the bottom range rooms and they were ok, but plumbing had some serious problems. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included) was good, with a variety... More

I stayed here for one night at a rate of 706 baht incl. breakfast through Agoda. Reception area quite impressive but bedroom a little disappointing. First sight of my bed revealed a brown stain which was quite off-putting. However, on closer inspection I think it was an ironing burn. Bed was reasonably comfortable and bathroom had hot water. I found... More

OK I did not stay in this hotel, but I just checked it out and was showed to the all hotel. What did struck me when I entered the parking, lobby and later the tower is .... is this really a new hotel? Or an renovated hotel? It is located just outside the city centre and has two buildings. The... More

I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for two nights while n Mukdahan mid-January 2012. What a beautiful brand new hotel and while construction was not yet complete, this will surely be one of the best hotels in Isaan. Rooms are extremely large with a small tiled balcony. Hartadwood floors in the rooms add a nice touch and... More

The original River City Hotel where I stayed in a standard room, for 3 nights in early December 2011, sits right in front (shared entry lobby and reception area) of a 15 storey brand new hotel with a revolving restaurant on top. Opening for the new River City Hotel is early 2012 but I'm not sure if this means the... More
