Let me start by saying it was an absolute pleasure staying at the Villa Vista. Built to perfection every detail capturing the beauty of nature. From the main house to the cabanas you will NOT be disappointed. My friends and I stayed in the cabana. It opened up to a tropical heaven leaving us speechless from the beauty of our... More

Heading into the Caribbean, we wanted something different this summer, something truly Caribbean-authentic. That’s why we chose Michael’s cabaña. And we weren’t wrong. The place is utterly fantastic, a true heaven on earth! Every inch of it, from the tiniest stone to the largest chunk of tree tells its own wonderful story (courtesy of Mr. Michael). Starting from the driveway,... More

This place takes your mind away from reality. It's a European style cabana, mainly from the German Alps. It's very open to nature, very clean and relaxing. It's not very far from restaurants or beaches, but still enough to be secluded. The kitchen is out in the open; a roof to protect from the rain. Small walkways and ponds. It... More

We immediately fell in love with the cabana when we saw it online and we knew right then and there that we wanted try the experience of living in the "jungle" and be close to nature. We weren't disappointed. It was so much fun! We stayed in the Tropical Cabana for 5 nights at a great price and were very... More

If you are looking for an authentic 'outdoor living' (as Michael describes it) experience, this is the place for you. It's a fascinating place, filled with custom artwork, hand built furniture, and yes, some bugs. As the previous reviewer stated, Michael is very eccentric, but was accommodating and interesting to talk to. He's a rough-and-tumble kind of guy, and keeping... More

I recently returned from a 5 week long stay at Villa Vista. I am never disappointed by it's beauty and privacy. I have stayed there 3 times. A few words of advice should you be considering a stay there. The cabana is 20 years old annd hanging by a thread. All furniture is infested with ants, spiders and mosquitos. So,... More

We spent 7 nights at this location, 5 nights in the cabana and 2 nights in the main house. So different, such a treat! They are at the end of a long rural road. The main house is high on the hill; the cabana is a bit lower and secluded in a lush garden. Both were designed and built by... More
