I have stayed in Hotel Traube several times on business and will continue to return. It is very conveniently located, near several restaurants, and less than 100 metres from public transport - also very quick to get into Heidelberg. The rooms are clean, warm and comfortable, as is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was great (good selection, fresh... More

We lived in Sandhausen in 1970/71 and this Hotel gave us convenience to visit old friends and take our son and his girlfriend to Heidelberg. 200 feet to the trolley stop. easy to use even though we had a car. Quiet. Parking the owners were American and German. very accommodating. big rooms. Odd layout. had the top floor. elevator partway.... More

I recently stayed for 5 days at the traube as I was working on a fair nearby the main reason for the choice was the low price for a simple room - hotel is run by a usa gentleman with german wife since many years, kind people -the building is older but well looked after -the interior furnishings are older... Stayed at the Hotel Traube a number of times now and this hotel never fails to disappoint! Everywhere is always clean and Dave & Doris treat everyone like family which I like very much. The hotel is equipped with a small bar area which is a great place to make new friends on an evening. A good breakfast is always... More

I can't say enough good things about Dave and Doris. When you are living in or visiting a country and you don't speak the native language, finding a hotel where the hosts fluently speak your native tongue, English, is a bonus. If you can find lodging where the hosts speak your language and are genuinely friendly and helpful, it is... More

Dave and Doris are great and practically make you feel like long lost friends as soon as you walk into the hotel. The room was great, really quite spacious by European standards, comfortable in every way for my wife and me. Easy access to the metro even though Leimen is a bit outside of Heidelberg (where you are probably trying... More

I recently stayed at the Hotel Traube for 4 nights. It was my second stay there. While it’s a bit away from Heidelberg, it’s a really nice place to stay and the owners (Dave and Doris Reeves) treat you like family. When you want to visit Heidelberg, there’s a street car nearby (5 minute walk if you catch the light)... More

My husband and I recently spent a week in the Hotel Traube. What a delightful gem! The owners are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just outside of Heidelberg and only steps from the streetcar. The hotel restaurant serves only breakfast; choices were varied and delicious. Restaurants for evening dining are within walking distance. I would not hesitate to... More
