We stayed here in 2012 and it was lovely! The cottages were nearby the sea. The bathroom was Well designed and in the open air. The rooms were Beautifull and clean. Outside there was Nice place to sit and relax. Breakfast was served at the sea. Top!

- Beautiful, spacious bungalow with nicely tiled bathroom. - Only fan rooms available here, but you get one rotating one on the ceiling and a stand up one you can put right in front of the bed. It felt as good as A/C to us. - Huge terrace in front with a large day bed, hammock, 2 chairs, a table... More

We arrived at Gili Air one day earlier than planned but could not stay at Gili Air Bungalows where we had reserved accommodation for the rest of our stay. So we had to find a place to stay for one night, and as Banana Cottages was close by to our next accommodation and looked like a nice place we decided... More

The cottages are wonderful: very clean, well maintained, outdoor shower, nice breakfast and very friendly staff! It was the best place on my whole trip. Everything was great! It has also a little shop included. We also got the best prices for our bycicles we rent and also for our return ticket by speedboat. Highly recommendable!

We relocated from Demi Homestay because it was a little further from where we wanted to be and Banana Cottages offered air conditioning, hot water, mosquito net and location for $35 which was one of the cheapest on the island. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the friendly staff, we hired bikes and snorkeling equipment from them for a good... More

Stayed here end November 2014 backpacking, so on a budget. Passed lots of expensive places walking from pier and finally stumbled upon this place after about 10 -15 minute walk. Up a small side road off the main path that goes around the edge of the island. Beautiful garden and lovely traditional style cottages with open air beautifully decorated bathrooms.... More

The usual Indonesian story of promised wifi, hot water etc and nothing actually works. Seeing as it rained quite a bit we spent quite a while in the rooms and would have really appreciated a hot shower. They just said it takes time as the tank has been off a while. We stayed 4 days and still no hot water!!... More

Banana Cottages really made our stay on Gili Air worthwile!!! TOP accomodation for a budget price of Rps 200.ooo per night per bungalow (walk-in rate). We didn't book anything and just walked around, luckily some of the staff invited us to have a look. The neatly and fully developped lush garden, so basically our porch, is full of banana and... My Girlfriend and I stayed at Banana Cottage, and we regret it deeply. At first glance, we thought it was a very nice place to stay. A porch/terrace with a hammock and outdoor bed with a mosquito net, and a nice little room with A/C. Breakfast included and wifi everywhere (they said). Wifi couldn't be reached. Breakfast was mediocre. Unfortunately... More

My friend and i stayed in the last bungalow of the cottage. Our plan was to spend 3 nights, but the bedbugs and the rudeness of the manager ruined our stay and we left much earlier. On our first night, the Wi-Fi was not working on our room and I decide to talk in private to Erwin, the manager. I... More
