We knew that the hotel is built into the side of a hill, so we specifically asked for a low floor. We are aged 75 & 73, so lots of stairs can be a problem. We arrived on a very hot afternoon and were led up the slope, then up some stairs, then up some more stairs, then even more... More

This was our 2nd visit and it was lovely to be recognised as soon as we got off the coach. We didn't get the room we asked for but room we had was probably better with a pool view. The staff were friendly and helpful as usual. We didn't do b&b as we enjoyed either going into town for breakfast... More

Pros: Picturesque hotel, excellent well maintained pool, nice bar, friendly staff, most rooms have a balcony or a terrace, 5 mins walk from Skala village. Cons: Rooms very basic and lacking some essentials, bathroom very small but usable, traffic can be noisy on main road that runs along the front of the complex. If you're not bothered about your room... More

This hotel is just a short walk from the town centre of Skala and the beach, approximately 10 minutes. As it's not in the town centre it is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were cleaned every other day which we thought was sufficient. There is a mini fridge in the room along with glasses. Air con and safety deposit... More

We came home Sunday from a two week holiday in the Marietta hotel. All I can say is that we were self catering, the room was up on the highest level and you needed to take a short break to continue the climb, but then again that gave you an excuse to have afters at one of the many restaurants... This is the 5th time we have stayed at the Marietta and had a brilliant time again that we hadn't been back 48 hours that we've booked again for next year, as always the accommodation is spotless and has everything you need, the areas outside are just as clean and tidy, if you have mobility problems you need to ask... We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel, very pretty to look at and a lovely pool. We were then given our rooms, which we had booked four and asked to be together. However we were all split up and we got a room 62steps up and perched on the edge of the stairs was our "balcony" and... More
