Stayed here for a night with my wife in June whilst island hopping and waiting for a crossing to Zante. I can see why this gets such good reviews as the staff are great and the hotel is smart and clean. The rooms in particular are very well appointed and comfortable - I had the best nights sleep during the... More

We stayed at Captain's House Hotel from June 16th to 23rd, and generally were very happy with our choice of hotel. The rooms are clean and of an OK size, with a safe and air conditioning. Sadly our requested double bed was 2 singles pushed together, which I don't like, but they were comfortable and served our needs well. We... More

Great location and a friendly welcome awaits. Very nice breakfast to set you up for the day. The Wi-Fi connection is variable and no outside sunbathing space, although each room has a balcony and you are across the street from the family bar. You can even engage in some celeb spotting. The Captain's House is a low cost way to see Skala in Kefalonia, with excellent service, great staff and a half-decent breakfast thrown in for nothing. I stayed there in May 2015 for a week and, despite the hotel not having a pool, I was impressed with the standard of the room I was given which worked out at approximately... More

I first stayed at the Captain's House 9 years ago and loved it! I should have returned sooner as t's still just as nice. It's a small hotel with very comfy rooms with everything you need: kettle and mugs (bring your own tea etc), fridge, TV (basically BBC World News unless you can speak other languages) and free wifi -... Wonderful boutique family hotel. Exactly as picture shows. Breakfast across from hotel on water if you want. Owner extremely helpful. Hired a car from her with no trouble. It seems some guests have been coming back every year for ages. We had a beautiful room with a veranda overlooking the bay. Easy walking to ferries. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

We can't rate this hotel highly enough. Everything about our stay was exactly what we'd hoped it would be - in fact it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived we received a lovely welcome. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to be attentive to our needs. The hotel itself was clean. We were concerned before... More

My partner and I had already had our "main" holiday back to Kefalonia in June when we stayed at the Porto Skala Village Hotel. However, as work had been particularly stressful during the summer we decided to go back to our home, Kefalonia, again in September. We had a look round, as you do, and found the Captains House Hotel... More

Have just returned from skala and stayed at the captains house. It's all about the location, only 50 metres from the beach. Yes there are many hotels in skala but if you want old fashioned Greek charm on a bed and breakfast basis then you could not ask for more. There is no pool, but if like myself you prefer... More
