Built in 2006 this hotel is made up of some 39 apartment styled rooms. Owned by Costas, a lawyer and former Mayor of Kefalonia, this complex is extremely well laid out. All of the rooms are well equipped with large fridges, microwaves, kettles, satellite tv, hair dryer and air conditioning. There is internet access in the lounge, bar, snack bar... More

We spent 10 days here in a 1 bed apartment. The first impressions are good-the one beds effectively are 2 as the sleeping area off the kitchen diner is completely separate. Balcony was huge. View was stunning. Aircon was great. Standard of accommodation better than I've ever seen in Greece. . The complex is a good size-about 36 apartments, so... More

What a fantastic hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 nights back in July and I'm still daydreaming about it. The rooms were cleans, the views breathtaking and the staff were exceptional. The BBQ and pizza night at the hotel are great value for money. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you were taken care of... More

We booked this due to a family wedding. Hotel staff are friendly & welcoming but it's not our idea of 4*. Let me try & explain why... Its views & location is stunning... But it's not close to scala centre, having kids & due to the heat we didn't opt for walking so I can't comment on times etc but... More

The staff are what turn the Asteris from being a bog-standard and relatively sleepy hotel to a bit of a hidden gem. The place is slightly old fashioned and a bit out of town but spotlessly clean and great sea views. However yannis the manager, Costas the owner and the brilliant Makis behind the bar really make you feel at... More

My Wife and I had a really nice experience at this hotel. It is very clean, friendly and relatively quiet (sorry - just the children around the pool sometimes b it noisy - but what would you expect at that time of the year!) The owner is ultra friendly - along with all the other staff. We were sitting at... More

We just had a 2-week vacation in Asteris, and although I confirm the good (although not excellent) assessment regarding the position, panorama and overall condition of the main building (pool, restaurant etc...), I have to give a negative assessment regarding the room condition. We stayed in room number 112, and the condition of the bed was horrible; old and hard... More

Have just returned from the Asteris where we have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The standard of accommodation by Greek standards was excellent, the best we have had in Greece, and we could not fault the staff who were brilliant. It was a bit far out of town which was a worry before we went but with the hotel transport... More

I agree with all the sentiments posted before. However if you get placed in one if the apartments behind reception as we have then the the value for money factor plummets. I am currently staying here until the 17th August. I have asked to be relocated but the staff have not been helpful on that front. Therefore I continue to... More

Visited for 2 weeks end of June and all I can say is what a fantastic place. The hotel, staff and facilities were excellent and we couldn't have asked for me, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere we went on the island was the same with everyone really friendly. Planning our next visit :)
