The hotel is actually situated on an old fort used for watching and guarding an estuary, so expect great view of estuary and the sea. 1. Approach to the hotel is tricky. A steep rising slippery road. Cannot get any idea if anyone coming from opposite side. 2. Dont plan to go to city (even for shopping / dining) once... More

Took some time to find, down a lane and up a steep hill not at all suitable for a motor. Spectacular views of the estuary and countryside. Monkeys and wildlife abound. The bedrooms are up then down long steep steps. Rooms are very basic. Badly maintained tired looking prison block buildings. A filthy monsoon mould covered dining area. The food... More

We booked here for 2 nights it was totally unsuitable. The taxi could barely get up the steep road it was full of pot holes. 2 of our party had disabilities and would not have been able to climb the crumbling steps to reach the room, it was unsafe for physically able. The room that we were shown was basic.... More

The best part of this resort is its location, situated on top of a fort. The view from the top room is breathtaking. There ends the good part. The road leading to it is unmotorable. Walk at your own risk of twisting your ankles. Bad approach road which has not been maintained or tarred. Rooms are dirty, and infested with... More

We, group of SIX families had high expectations on the resort (hotel). But, after reaching close to the resort, our struggle started. We came by a Mini Bus and the road to the resort is highly dangerous and pathetic. No one was answering my phone calls to help us finding way to the resort @8:30pm. With great difficulty our mini... and a sense of adventure, check yourself in here! We arrived post sunset and the adventure starts with a short drive up the path (no lights, unmarked edges that drop down steep slopes). Ill kept lighting greeted us as we reached the reception area manned by a friendly bunch of hotel staff. The place is poorly maintained (night impression that... More

This is certainly an unusual place, even by the standards of Kairali, a company known for having resorts in the middle of jungles. The resort is actually inside a fort called Sadashivgarh, perched on a hill overlooking the Karwar estuary (and the bridge from Karwar towards Goa). The resort buildings exemplify bad architecture, resembling a low level government housing colony,... More

Well.. If you want to be ALONE and truly ALONE on top of a hill, with only a few care takers and a few stray dogs around, in Karwar, this is the place. I don't know who named it a "Resort"!! First of all -- There is no proper road to the "resort". Your driving skills as well as your... More
