We stayed in the huge family bungalow for 5 nights. When we first arrived, I thought we had really paid too much for what it was. At over £40 GBP / night I was expecting a bit of a treat, and although the bungalow is gigantic, with a double bed downstairs and 3 single beds upstairs, it is still very... More

Cottages are clean and well thought of, staff friendly and attentive, good food selection at resto, peaceful beachfront, great location. Perfect for both family and friends, Japanese owners were also very friendly and all smiles-- made you feel welcomed! Stay here!

I can imagine that at its prime, Villa Marmarine was a wonderful place to stay, with lots of character - in fact it was recommended to me twice, two years apart by different friends. But now the rooms are very dilapidated - I stayed in 3 over the course of my 6 days there (mostly because I was too lazy... More

Spent 3 nights over there. As I didn't confirm the booking with them prior to the check-in, the Yoshi room was not available on the day itself. Instead Tomo was offered instead at Yoshi rate which was much appreciated, followed by Yoshi room the remaining two nights. Try to book at least 3 nights if possible as they provide various... More

It's astonishing to see ants, ants-like insects climbing and flying around the place. So disturbing to know i have to sleep on a bed like this. Good part is that i woke up early around 5:30 and saw beautiful sunrise on the beach, which is something I'm longing to do but didn't have chance to. Even if I'm staying at... More

I stayed here about 6 years ago, the place is nicely built. You get to stay in the hut. Convenient access to the beach, where you can't swim. But still you can hear the waves in the morning and evening and while you lounge in the hammocks by the garden. Flowers in the restaurant freshly picked from the gardens. You... More

We reserved a smaller cottage but got a bigger one (Tomo room) because the other was not available; I loved our bigger cottage even tho it was really too big for just two of us. It even has a bedroom loft for additional persons. There was no air-conditioning but no need for it because the ventilation and breeze coming in... More

Even though I stayed at Villa Marmarine for only a night, and most of my days are spent circumnavigating the island, I felt that the place deserved a great rating. I got the cheapest room which is worth 500php, and it's near the parking area. If you don't mind the location and just seeks a place to crash for the... More

Stayed at Villa Marmarine 22-28 of December 2013. The place is really well kept, especially compared to the general standard in the Philippines. We stayed in Sayuri, which was the biggest (?) cabin there. Being just two persons in an enormous family cabin was a bit funny, but also a nice luxury. The tennis court was in superb condition. We... We arrived here and at first sight from the bar area it looked great so we decided to stay. We just had a standard for the first night which was ok. After that we had to move as the room was not available for longer. We ended up in one of the new rooms near the beach. First impressions were... More
