We had reservations-for the standard Polynesian rooms which are furthest from the pool and restaurant-and changed our minds after getting a good look at the place. Do not let the pictures fool you, it is a schlep to get down the hill to the eating/pool area from these rooms-not to mention coming back up the hill. I had a small... More

After 30 yrs i went back & visited Siquijor island. We had reservations at Princess Bulakna since we saw beautiful pictures at the internet. The land area is huge & the resort is undergoing some construction of new cottages. What i dont like is they dont keep the current cottages at par. Our "kiram" cottage was very near the pool,... We stayed in the resort for 2 weeks as we had no other place to stay. As others have mentioned our stay was the same. Just as well my wife had friends in Siqujor who took us around the island. The worst was the food service as for a ordinary toasted sandwich we waited up to 2 hours and the... More

For the price, great scenery, and friendly staff. I really couldnt complain. We also enjoyed the garden. The kids enjoyed exploring the garden hill trail, mini zoo and the mysterious bridge. The bridge goes around the hill! Too bad I havent reached the other end of the bridge for I got too scared for my son. He is such an... More

The local is so far from the rest and I like it. I got a standard Polynesian hillside cottage with a pretty huge space inside, a hot and cold shower, a veranda, a queen size bed, a perfectly working A/C, and a working desk. The room also includes a continental breakfast and free access to the infinity pool, the orchidarium,... More

The resort is a bit far from the siquijor town proper but once you'll get here you will surely love the place. The food in their restaurant was fair enough although it took time for them to serve the food (30mins or more)... Their rooms were clean. and the pool was very nice also.. A safe place to visit! They... More

To start with the bad news: the rooms are not that well maintained BUT, the Bulakna offers definitely one of the best views on the island and it comes at very affordable rates. The cottages are simple but have all you need (simple bed, AC, water heater and toilet/shower). We have been looking at several resorts on the island, and... More

We stayed here for 3days and 2nights a week after holy days. Since we are in a long distance relationship, my boyfriend and I are used to travel every time we see each other . We really have to make it extra special. So this summer 2014 we chose a bit of Dumaguete and more of Siquijor. As per choosing... More

We stayed in this resort last April 2014 during Holy week. We had difficulty getting there as the people in the port (Siquijor Port) are asking so much for them to send us to the resort. They continuously telling us that it was far, and their gasoline is expensive and all so I suggest that you contact the resort for... More

If you're looking for a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life, come and visit the Archipelago's island of fire and stay in Princesa Bulakna Resort located at Maria, Siquijor. It is definitely the perfect place to be if you want peace and comfort. The proud staffs were very warm and accommodating. They were very helpful... More
