My husband and I decided to try Lady Elliott Island with kids (ages 8 and 10) as the reef walks and "wade-in" snorkeling seemed like a good way to introduce them to snorkeling (less daunting than jumping off a boat). LEI met all expectations! The diving for my husband was spectacular. The snorkeling for me and the girls was easy... More

Our family has just returned from a 5 night stay on Lady Elliot Island (LEI). Since we got home my husband and I have been busy dreaming up ways we could sell the house and move the family over there, yep easy, we could work on the island and the kids could do school by correspondence.....ahh what a life it... We had an amazing week on Lady Elliot. The diving and snorkeling were just magical! The accommodation and food were excellent and the service was brilliant. The various educational presentations were interesting and informative. The various tours of the island that were available were very well conducted and enjoyable. I will be back for sure. :-)

We have just returned home after 8 days on Lady Elliot Island. It is absolutely stunning. The staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much to ask and they definitely go out of their way to make sure you get everything out of your stay. Renee behind the bar, Nick at the dive shop, Lisa and Ben on the snorkel safari... I love Lady Elliott. Just had a couple of nights after not visiting for several years. The place is looking great. New furniture in reef rooms and more upgrades being done around the resort. There is no better diving on the reef- turtles, manta rays- it is truly awesome

This was hands down the best holiday experience i have ever had! Cannot even begin to describe how good the snorkeling was in the crystal clear waters where turtles were everywhere! We were lucky and even saw Whales, along with Manta Rays, Reef Sharks (don't worry they were harmless), island birds and the most beautiful coloured fish! The staff was... More

The snorkelling is amazing. In the main lagoon, I swam alongside turtles, an amazing array of colourful fish and corals and even saw a moray eel. The accommodation has a beachside chic feel to it with an emphasis on the environment. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet, especially considering we were sharing the resort with a large school group.... More

Lady Elliot is a little gem on the Barrier Reef. The encounters with manta rays, diving in a huge aquarium loaded with colourful fish, endless turtles waiting to have their backs scratched, different experience each time you enter the water - just makes you want to keep going back! Disappointing the coral is mainly brown. Rooms are nicely presented, cleanliness... More

Amazing easy to access snorkelling for the whole family. Beautiful coral makes you proud to be an Australian . Seeing the turtles laying their eggs right on the beach right in front of your accommodation was awesome. Rooms we're clean basic and everything you could need. Food was fresh and tasty and suited everyone. Such easy snorkelling even for our... More

What can I say? Friendly staff, GREAT ( really!) food, spectacular diving and rest and relaxation in paradise. The wildlife was amazing, we will definitely be back to visit with our family. I think we both slept at least 10 hours a day, probably from diving with the turtles, sharks, and oh yes a SEA SNAKE! Super friendly staff that... More
