I was lucky enough to spend 5 days on LEI straight after Cyclone Marcia. This pace is heaven on earth. If you want to relax and be away from the every day hustle and bustle than this is for you. I love not having having TV, Social Media , and Telephone reception around. You can call home via satellite phone... More

I could not fault the accommodation, food and staff at Lady Elliot Island (LEI) Eco Resort during my 5 night stay. There were 36 of us in the Foto Frenzy Group and Amy's organisation of the week meant everything went smoothly including the photo exhibition in our last night. LEI was my first introduction to the Great Barrier Reef and... More

Stayed 3 nights here in a suite and enjoyed every moment. We were lucky to have fine weather, and we took every moment to snorkel -- right near our room but also off a glass-bottomed boat on the other side of the island. Amazing to see the wildlife, under the water especially (turtles, rays, small sharks, all manner of fish)... More

We just came back from staying on the island for 4 days and it was a memorable experience indeed. My boyfriend's mum is visiting from Norway so we wanted to find a place where we could all feel comfortable and enjoy a short break. I have to admit, we are glad to have left the island before the extreme weather... More

We had2 weeks in Australia for the first time ever. Wanted to see Great Barrier Reef! From Goldcoast with flight to Lady Elliot - very nice. Then 3 amazing days. The weather was not good with storm and rain so we could only sit outside once or twice. However, the possibilities to snorkel, swim, relax, eat and enjoy your spouse... More

We have traveled a great deal, and previous warm-weather island destinations have included Crete, Corfu, Cozumel, Bali, Koh Samui, Oahu, Hawai'i (the big island), Guam, Saipan, Yap, and Palau. Lady Eliott Island is now among these and tops the list as far as being a part of the local ecology is concerned. Snorkeling on the GBR, which one can do... More

This was my fourth visit to Lady Elliot Island but the first with the family. This place never disappoints. We stayed in an eco cabin, a double bed and set of bunks for the four of us, (cheapest option on the island) but it is comfortable and does everything you really want. The accommodation is not a factor when visiting... More

We have just returned from seven days on Lady Elliot Island, travelling as a family of four. We opted for an air conditioned suite, which was fabulous as Queensland was suffering through a heatwave at the time. The only air conditioned spots on the island otherwise are the front office or games room (which is often busy), so it was... More

We spent five nights on Lady Elliot over New Year's and had a grand time. The tent could get a little stuffy and loud with the nesting birds outside, and I wished that I could have sat up in my bunk to comfortably read (they are too low for that) but really, the location is so stunning it made up... We were looking for a place that was a bit off the beaten path and would show the best the Great Barrier reef has to offer. This was it. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days which was just enough for us to get a taste of what Lady Elliot Island has to offer and ensure return visits in... More
