I wanted to keep this place a secret for myself, but the staff working on the island deserve recognition for their hard work - every visitor is treated like a VIP and the staff cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We spent 5 nights on LEI - it's an eco resort, and a great way to escape traffic,... More

Me and my partner came to Lady Elliot Island in mid-June this year. A friend of ours had referred us to go there as I love water activities and the Sea Life. I think the place itself is a great concept for the conservation of the sea life surrounding the island but unfortunately the staff makes it not pleasant (with... More

We have just returned from a 3 night 4 day stay in a reef room on Lady Elliot Island. What a great place to renew the spirit. We had perfect weather and the staff were informative and Andreas made sure all the guests were having a great time. He pops up everywhere enquiring if all is going OK. I would... More

The location is of course, amazing, we all know that but what makes this place even better - is the staff. Each of the events is held by well informed staff members who are encyclopedias of information. Food was incredible ( buffet) with a separate menu for lunch if you chose not to do the buffet. The director is eveywhere.... More

We had 7 nights in a reef room on Lady Elliot. From the scenic flight over from Hervey Bay to the snorkelling with turtles and manta rays we could not fault this resort. The reef rooms are clean and comfortable and are situated right on the beach. Plenty of activities from reef walks to behind the scenes tours were given... More

Spent a few days in LEI. It was lovely- a relaxing, beautiful time on the Island and fantastic diving and snorkelling. Lots of information and learning experiences. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and plenty of it! The scenic flight was a great experience. We were sad to leave!

I went to Lady Elliot Island back in March 2014. Their Eco Resort is absolutely amazing. The Garden Unit that I stayed in was very comfortable and very well maintained. The service from the staff was outstanding. They are very friendly. The activities are very fun to do. Especially considering that you are situated on an amazing Island that is... More

LEI is a nature lovers paradise!!! We have just returned from 5 amazing days at LEI with our 2 children. We had so many wonderful wildlife encounters such as snorkelling with turtles, manta rays, sharks, coral reefs and colourful fish. Watching the migrating whales, nesting sea birds, land hermit crabs at night etc, etc. Too many highlights to mention. Snorkelling... More

This is my kind of island! This is a special place where nature comes first, where the reef is the focus and where the word 'eco' is taken seriously. Being 80 km offshore, the word sustainable takes on a lot more meaning! Our short holiday ticked so many boxes for me from the exciting flight, the snorkeling with turtles, colourful... More

This island is a very special place and the people that run the place are fantastic. They are certainly looking after it - to ensure it continues to be one of the richest areas for sea-life and coral in the GBR.We stayed a week and were very sad to leave. # We scuba dived with 3-4m manta rays in 20+...
