My husband and I have just come back from a 2-day stay at Albereta. The entire complex is designed for relax, and that is exactly what we did! I do agree with the other posts- it is expensive so be prepared! We enjoyed the spa (Chenot products, highly qualified staff), state-of-the art gym (TechnoGym gear, and free sessions with a... more

This hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, good restaurant, all the rest of it ... BUT it is terribly overpriced (we paid €395 a night), in the middle of a very unpleasant area (Francia Corta, between Brescia and Verona) and once you leave the grounds there is nowhere to go and nothing to do - overbuilt, tacky region with lots... more

My husband and i stayed at L'Albereta in early may. The area around the hotel is lovely as is the hotel building itself but the staff let the hotel down BIG time. They are unhelpful, rude and very unpleasent. I wish i had read the reveiws already posted by visitors from switzerland and miami before i booked as they were... more

Me and my partner just came back from a long week-end spent at the chateau - relais resort " L'Albereta" in Erbusco. The Hotel surroundings are very pleasant but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so a rented car is a must if you want to enjoy your stay. The room we stayed in (room 3) was very... more

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous hotel. Having bought a four night package via LuxuryLink we arrived on Good Friday in March 2008. The hotel is outside a large village called Erbusco, about 25 minutes east of Bergamo Airport (fly Ryanair from London Stansted to Milan Bergamo). It is surrounded by vineyards (owned by the same family) and... more

The L'Albereta is a Relais & Chateaux Hotel and is situated on a high hill overlooking working vineyards and small villages beyond. Our room, Room 36, was fantastic with views of the vineyards and the nearby villages. The only drawback was the kitchen staff took their breaks during the late afternoon, but were reasonably quiet enjoying their smoke and cell... more

L'Albereta is the place to stay if you want a comfortable, upscale lodging and dining experience in the Franciacorta wine country -- and you don't mind paying for it. Room prices are high (and they charge extra for breakfast), but considering the lovely grounds and countryside setting, nearby Lake Iseo, and proximity to Milan (45 min.), they are reasonable. Primary... more

Beautiful property in the middle of no where.. Staff was from or in the twilight zone.. Almost rude compared with everywhere else we stayed in Italy.... THE RESTAURANT is the worst 400.00 meal we've ever had. AWFUL and there's really nowhere elso to go unless you want to venture out into the countryside at night.. The property is beautiful though...... more

We stayed at the L'Alberta 3 summers ago with two preteens. The "Hideaway Report” gives this hotel glowing reviews. The staff was very unhelpful. The hotel is in the middle of no where, at least a 20 minute drive to Lake Iseo. It is also 1/2 hour to the train. When we asked for the complimentary car to bring us... more

Stayed at l'Albereta in July, 2006 on a Luxury Link package. All I can say is WOW! Of the hundred or so Relais & Chateaux I've stayed at in my travels, this is one of the most memorable. The suite was huge and gorgeous, the food of Gualtiero Marchesi is among the most extraordinary in Italy; trust me, you will... more
