I have been in the hotel with a group of friends spending a couple of nights for a wedding nearby. The quality of the rooms and the furniture is awful, really old and outdated, absolutely not in line with the pictures and with the price per night - 130eur! The staff has been extremely unfriendly, when we arrived there was... More

The hotel is on the outskirts of the small town of Ranco on Lake Maggiore. The views of the lake are wonderful. The hotel has a restaurant with a lake view. The food is good if a little expensive. No other restaurants in Ranco were open when we were there, and for a choice you need to go to Angera.... More

This is a really horrible hotel. Everything is really old. Sheets werent washed, our room was dirty (many spiderwebs) and i dont think that anyting in our room was renewed during the last twenty years and that is including the bedcover...The service was also pretty bad. Unfriendly people, not interested in providing information, very rare that somebody is even at... More

We spent a weekend there for a class reunion and the management was good and helpful. We ate two meals at the restaurant and they were very good. The position is great for lake activities and trips and the accommodations are good. We had a problem with two drunk Russians in the middle of the night and the hotel did... More

This hotel is beautifully located, with a stunning view of the lake. The rooms themselves are fine - reasonably furnished, with a little balcony overlooking Lake Maggiore. However the rest of the hotel is a little worn, a little old fashioned, and really in need of a refurbishment. The breakfast is also a bit of a disappointment - no brioche,... More

This hotel has a stunning view of the lake. Clean and well appointed rooms. They have a fine spa where they pamper you. A very good restaurant and staff that are warm, congenial and just generally charming. I think it offers a great value for the price!

We spent 5 days at this hotel during our Christmas visit. We know this area very well. The hotel is in a great location at the lake and has an exceptional beautiful view of the lake and mountains. This is the only highlight. The hotel look and feel is old (furnitures of the 50s?) both in the lobby and the... More

This hotel was one of the worst experiences ever... spider webs everywhere, rooms are dirty, the furniture is still from the fifites... This is a family hotel that was maybe ok in the "old days", but at the moment you can see that the hotel needs a lot of work. Its very expensive for what you get. The name welness... More

What a location, but, sadly, that's what you are paying for. On entering the hotel one is struck by the dim lighting which, along with the decor, is very 1950s. The bedroom (single) was adequate, but that's about all. With a cheap wardrobe and bed, and the TV on top of the wardrobe, such that to view it, it was... More
