Everytime we go to Italy we stay heren for 1 nicht, with our 2 daughters. The rooms maybe a little pricy but the picture fits. We had 4 Ranco menu's for dinner and it was great. Our youngest daughter described the dessert as heavenly and the best she ever had, and she had a few all over the world. For... More

The hotel was previously a Relais & Chateau, it is not anymore, and it shows...personnel is cool, does not much care. Our room smelled the gutter, the AC did not cool, forget Wifi, bed linen is old and hard....checked the Velux window in the bathroom, completely rotten full of bacteria...conclusion: we checked out (had to pay the upcoming night though,... Staying here on a business trip it has an amazing view. We splurged and opted for the lake view room which costs more but worth it. Great friendly service, everyone speaks good English, food is incredible. The pool area is well cared for and except for the multitude of lizards around (which don't bother you at all) it's an ideal... More

We decided to spend our last night in the Lake District of Italy in order to be close to Milan airport. My husband "trusted" relais et Chateaux and Michelin and booked this hotel for our last evening. Foolishly he did not check Trip Advisor - a mistake we will never make again). We drove from Bologna expecting to have a... More

We took 2 rooms here for ourselves and our 2 teenage children. The setting is beautiful, right beside Lake Maggiore with lovely views. However that's where the "luxury" ends. The rooms (although with lake views) are dated and tired and seriously need a decor overhaul. The beds are rock hard, as are the pillows. Bathrooms do appear a little more... More

A beautiful place. Charming atmosphere. Excellent view over the lake. A very good restaurant. Nice staff. We brought our two year old grandson and he was warmly welcomed by the staff. On the first evening somerhing was wrong in the ketchen. Like an orchestra without a conductor. But eventually whatever it was it was sorted out and we had a... More

The location and the setting is very nice. Food is delicious too. So, where are the issues? Rooms are average and tatty, with 1970 bathroom fitments, old warned out carpets. The key issue though is Management: rude, unhelpful, unfriendly: they will deal with you as if you had booked at an overcrowded campsite. No attention, no courtesy, purely arrogant. I... More

We were looking for a place to stay around Milan without ever being in the city, as a way of ending a two week trip that started in Venice. Normally at the end of a trip to Italy we stay at the Principe di Savoia in Milan and take a taxi to Malpensa airport to fly home. But this was... More

Being a Relais & Chateau property, we knew it would have the quality and standard we enjoy and we were not disappointed. Our suite looked straight out over Lake Maggiori. It was large and had an excellent en suite. It is within easy walking distance of lakeside cafes and parks. The restaurant is gourmet quality and beautifully presented. It is... More

We stayed one night and enjoyed a large double room (#10) with a view of the Lake Maggiore. This is a family owned, small Inn in a quiet, peaceful setting with a wonderful, fairly expensive restaurant. Breakfast consists of a buffet with many pastries, but if you want eggs etc., there is a charge of about 8 euro. The room... More
