stay here with regular intervals and staff is very nice, friendly and attentive. You need to be prepared for using your Italian language if any but this is Italy and part of the charm. Rooms are generally ok but will need a face lift soon. (Some with shower and wc issues) Breakfast is ok but the room could be nicer.... More

I read the nice reviews here but was very disappointed at my one-night stay. The room looked nice enough, but the beds were uncomfortable. There is no thermostat in the room and woke up cold in the middle of the night. Only one of the 2 twin beds in my room had a wool cover and I had to move... More

It was my second time to spend a night in Angera, second time in Hotel dei Tigli. Angera is very quiet in November, but the hotel was quite full. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good and so is the service. The bathroom of my room was very spacious. If I don't give 5 points, it's perhaps because of the... More

The Hotel dei Tigli was perfect for our week-long stay in the Lago Maggiore area (business for my husband in the area, pleasure for me). We had a third-floor room with a balcony that gave out onto the orange rooftops of homes and lakeside buildings, with a view of the lake and the mountains. When at the hotel, we spent... More

If you prefer a peaceful stay surrounded by natural beauty, I recommend staying in Angera, on the Lombardy side of Lake Maggiore, rather than in a more commercial and busy city/town on the Piedmontese side. Hotel dei Tigli is just a few steps from the lake side, near several pastry shops, restaurants, and outdoor cafes. The church of la Madonna... More

This has been the second time for us to stay in Dei Tigli and is was like coming home again. The staff is very friendly and heartwarming welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfy, the bathroom is well equipped etc. This time we were travelling with my aging parents (80+ and 90) and without asking we got neighboring rooms. After... More

When I booked a room at Hotel Del Tigli, I will admit that I never asked about non-smoking rooms. So, I was a bit disappointed to have to make my way through a smoke-filled hallway coming and going to our room. We were fortunate to NOT smell the cigarettes inside the bedroom. As I am very allergic to cigarette smoke,... More

went there on business and just stayed for one night, didn't even have time to have breakfast though. The room I had (304) was nice and spacious with big balcony. The room offers everything you could possibly need (other than a bathtub). Have stayed at plenty of 4* hotels that were much shabbier and less comfortable. Only downside I found... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend over Easter, had a lovely time, and would definitely recommend it. Some of the key points: - Clean, comfortable and spacious room with good mattress, excellent power shower/ bathroom, TV (with BBC World and CNN). - Heating - I was actually too hot the first night and woke up a few... I came to Angera because I was working for the week at Ispra. The two hotels offered me at this time of the year (off-season) were the Pavone and the dei Tigli. I chose the second because of its slightly better reviews. First the good points. The receptionists and the caretaker (who spoke no English) were happy and helpful. My... More
