We have dined in their restaurant which does not have a separate name - so I am reviewing the restaurant and not the hotel. I have never stayed in the hotel but have cocktailed, lunched and dined multiple times and consistently - the food is delicious. The service is great, friendly and with multi language ease. Plan to eat the... More

We spent two nights at the Villa Belvedere and thoroughly enjoyed it. This updated boutique hotel is elegant yet welcoming (Grazie to Enrico for setting the friendly tone), and our lakefront room was clean and spacious, with a large and beautifully appointed bathroom. We had a most delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. Argegno is a delightful village with a... More

We took the ferry from Como to Argegno, as the hotel which is directly on the lake is only a few steps from the boat landing. The dining room, formerly an outdoor terrace, is totally glassed in. It had been 28 years since we stayed there, and were delighted with the improvements. The food is excellent - breakfast and dinner.... More

What a beautiful place to stay! It has been our fifth time. This time we had a corner room with the most beautiful view of the lake and the most beautiful sunrise as well as sunset.. Definitely not our last time to visit.. Had a wonderful breakfast on the Veranda..

I lovely reccomend to anybody this hotel situated nearly to Como Lake. I had an excellent dinner: a starter with local fish marvelous cooked based on local receipt and the main course beef with porcini. The "vino rosso" Rinchedone was tasty, fruity and accompanied the meal.

Our first visit to Lake Como. A truly beautiful part of the world, made even more so by our stay at Villa Belvedere. Such a romantic and lovey setting, sitting right on the lake. Our suite, with its balcony opening to the lake coudn't have been better. The staff were friendly and helpful, with much better english then our italian!!... More

When I first visited this hotel in 2010 it was owned by Giorgio Cappelletti and his Scottish wife Jane. I returned in September this year and found that Giorgio had died and the hotel had been bought by a company and refurbished. In 2010 it was popular with Australians. It still is today. Why? Three Australian journalist friends of mine... More

This is a difficult review to write as it was our 8th visit since 1987 but the first under new owners(2012). We loved the Belvedere when it was owned and managed by the Capoletti family so my views are not terribly objective. First the positives! The location is stunning and the lake view rooms are wonderful. Transport by car, ferry... More

This location is perfect for exploring other towns on the lake and is a two minute walk to the local ferry service. And the hotel is set on the lake. The restaurant offers fine dining with many daily specials and has stunning views of the lake and the alps. A magical setting. To complete this fairy-tale setting the staff are... More

When choosing a hotel from a website site you are never sure if it will live up to your expectations. This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of its close proximity to the lake and easy access to the ferry boats. It's lake side restaurant is simply stunning so much so we only eat out twice during our weeks stay.... More
