This small hotel right on the edge of Lake Como is like a home. Comfortable lounge, outdoor seating while soaking up a spectacular view. Right near ferry/hydrofoil. Need to be able to manage stairs. Small and friendly.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April, the hotel is delightful, has off street parking which is a real benefit in the narrow streets. The vistas across the lake are outstanding and the restaurant serves beautiful food while once again looking out over the lake. The location is wonderful as it is quieter than Como but well located for... More

Excellent accommodation. Magnificent lakeside setting in a small town just south of Lenno. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating…5 stars!. Get a room with a lakeside view and wake up every morning to different moods of the lake! The hotel is about 20 metres from the ferry terminal. Free parking in the hotel if you have a car.... More

The hotel is right on the lake and we had lovely views from our room which was very comfortable with a spotless, though quite small, bathroom. The terrace with sunbeds was a lovely spot to relax in and the restaurant area for breakfast and dinner was perfect. Breakfast was very good as was the dinner we had on one evening... More

We loved this hotel for its combination of gracious service, pleasant rooms and exquisite location right on the shores (literally) of Lake Como. Wonderful complimentary breakfast and moderately priced high quality meals served at their lakeside restaurant with fabulous views across the lake to the alps in the background were a delight.

This was recommended by my travel agent but based on experience before the change in ownership. My welcome was efficient (leave keys at desk when going out etc) but annoying as I was told to wait in the bar for a welcome drink. I was keen to get out in the street to soak up the beautiful scenery but waited... More

We have been coming here for more almost 20 years and loved the family atmosphere and authenticity of this old Italian villa. Jane and Georgio were wonderful hosts. I was concerned about the changes with a more commercial ownership and it has been sad not to see them and their daughters and granddaughter this time. The positive changes have been... More

We had a lake-side room and the views were stunning. One night a storm came through the lake and colours were amazing. Restaurant was excellent with very helpful staff. We caught the ferry from Como and the hotel is only one minute away from the wharf. It is also centrally located to many restaurants if you wish to have lunch... More

This was our 5th visit to the Villa Belvedere over the last couple of years ( driving to Fotre Dei Marmi) from England. The Villa Belvedere just gets better every time, excellent value , and is in the most wonderful location. Looking forward to our next visit

My husband and I did not have a reservation but on arrival at Hotel Villa Belvedere quite late in the evening, we were thrilled to get a room. We were in Room 7 which is on the 2nd floor and has a stunning view out over the lake. The room was simply decorated but spacious and had everything you needed.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is set among blue waters and colourful mountainsHotel Villa Belvedere stands there as if seeking to dominate the lake, like a prima donna on show in all her beauty at a point were a number of pleasing landscapes meet in a play of colours that change and develop over the course of the day. It is set among blue waters whose movement creates shifts in colour that transform the nature that surrounds them. In its own inimitable style plays host to its guests in what seems like its own microcosm of refined hospitality. The RoomsThe bedrooms are little oases of culture within which guests can breathe in the typical atmosphere associated with literary coffee culture. The 18 bedrooms are a perfect synthesis of those features that go to make up refined elegance. Some of them have been completely renewed while others retain the clear mark of history. These are the ideal nest for lovers of the lake, with those perched above the water enjoying views of a constantly changing landscape with the rising of the sun, the shifting colours and the arrival of night and its discreet sparkling lights. For those who love the mountains, some of the rooms provide fine views of the verdant peaks of Valle d’Intelvi. There are also sophisticated family rooms with triple rooms and rooms with four beds. The RestaurantThere is a whole lot that is new here and a menu that also brings back the fine wine and cuisine of the area. There are some truly superlative dishes created using essentially simple combinations. The menu has both fish and meat for dishes that are innovative without straying outside the traditions of Italian cooking and the excellence of Mediterranean culture. For those who love sunsets and evenings on the shores of the lake there is also a bar that offers both aperitifs and after dinner drinks, with a range of specialist spirits available. In the summer guests can take lunch or dine in the evenings outdoors on the terrace that overlooks the lake with its delightful views. ... more   less
