A beautiful hotel the moment you see it! Set right on Lake Maggiore with the ferry terminal right opposite the hotel. the swimming pool and setting of the hotel is charming. The evening dinner presented beautifully in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was just as good, hot and cold very good quality. Lovely and quiet location. Parking available. Good service.

In a fantastic position 10yards from the ferry station this wonderful family owned hotel where guests return year after year is a perfect place to stay and feel pampered. The hotel comprises several adjoining buildings surrounding the pool. Our 3rd floor room with a small balcony overlooking the lake was lovely having been refurbished. A wonderful place from which to... More

This place is magical in a cozy inlet. As soon as you check in, they make you feel so special and truly happy to see you. Get a terrace room and you will stare at the lake for hours and watch the ferry come and go. They have a bar with live music at night. Friday night, we listened to... More

In August 2014 I took three rooms at this hotel as my wife and I had four guests here for three days to celebrate my birthday and to do the 2000 year old Roman road walk from Cannero to Cannobio. For the past few years I have made a pilgrimage to this hotel. It is owned by Maria Carla Gallinotto... More

Hotel Cannero really is as good as the reviews say. We stayed here for two weeks at the beginnig of September & whilst it would have been wonderful to have a had a room with a lake view, our room at the rear of the hotel overlooking a quiet lane was absolutely fine. From the moment that we arrived we... More

Hotel Cannero was our first stop in Italy after one night in Milan. We were pleasantly surprised when our taxi pulled up outside this lovely old hotel, overlooking Lake Maggiore. The staff were welcoming and helpful and showed us to our rooms which were spacious and clean. My husband and I decided we would like a room with a balcony... More

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times now since 2007. We love the intimate feel, the friendly staff and the superb location on the lake. Like other reviewers, we book the airport transfer with the hotel (upfront of our stay), as you do not need a car, if you are happy to visit neighbouring resorts on the boat. Rafael,... More

Hotel Cannero is a family-run establishment, providing great accommodation, good food, friendly and efficient staff, superb service, and a gorgeous location: on the edge of Lake Maggiore right by the ferry landing stage, easy striking distance from a number of major tourist spots, and a few miles from the Swiss border. Our room was a bit small, up in the... More

You really do know you are on holiday when you find yourself eating your breakfast beside a lake on a sunny, bright morning. This is the epitome of relaxation. A family-run hotel, excellent staff, fantastic food all set in a magnificent location. Boats to take you up/down Lake Maggiore stop right in front of the hotel - it's such a... More

This was our third visit to Hotel Cannero in the lovely little village of Cannero Riviera on Lake Maggiore. If you have never visited Lake Maggiore then you must! Like all the Italian lakes it is very beautiful with the added attraction of the various islands that can be visited by the boat service. Once again we were enchanted by... More
