We stayed a few nights in this wonderful small Albergo perched footsteps from Lake Garda. Its on the lake and that's where you want to be in a place like Gargnano. Actually we extended our stay as we enjoyed everything about the accommodation and the village of Gargnano. Ask for the room onto the small harbour and its the one... More

I agree with most of the comments that are made, but I loved it. We had room 10 on the second floor, no lift but a lovely marble staircase, a wonderful room. The views are probably the best on the whole of Lake Garda. We stayed in 8 hotels on this trip, this is my favourite with the best rate... More

Lovely old hotel at the waters edge,overlooking the small harbour and piazza. Bags of character and of course the association with D H Lawrence & Frieda who stayed there in his early writing days. We stayed for just one night on our way through. It is a long established family run hotel with great character situated in a prime position with views of the lake and the small picturesque harbour.
