We stayed at this delightful pub on our way down to Cornwall. Arriving on a busy Sunday lunchtime we found a lot of very happy people eating in the garden, on the terrace at the front and inside this charming pub. We soon joined them and found the food was first class at lunch , dinner and breakfast. My breakfast... more

This is a real gem. Great food, really nice rooms (not cheap but you get what you pay for) but above all spectacularly good service. The Manager of the property is a real asset to the place - full of helpful suggestions of what to do and willing to cater to virtually any reasonable request. The breakfast was first class... more

Having previously stayed at their sister pub, I booked a night at the Stapleton, and was not disappointed. This pub lives up to the standard already set by the owners at The Queens Arms in nearby Corton Denham. The rooms are all individual - we stayed in room 4, a double with walk in shower - and tastefully furnished. The... more

The Stapleton Arms is lovely refurbished village inn with more amenities and services than many a four star city centre hotel. Its a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the effort - maybe easier with SatNav? Food is served in the restaurant or the main bar (all sofas and wooden furniture - very relaxing). I'm a hearty eater... more

We stayed overnight on 23 June. On the website, the hotel looked too good to be true. In reality - it was absolutely stunning. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, so tastefully furnished, comfortable, flat screen TV, a cafetiere plus real coffee, fresh flowers. The bar area was all comfy leather sofas, lovely decor, a wonderful real ale selection. Dinner... more

My wife and I stayed for one night on 18th June, There are only 4 guest rooms and we had no2 which overlooked the front of the pub. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. It had a large bathroom with a slipper bath. The double bed was extremely comfortable with feather pillows. The pub is situated in a... more

I booked a night here as a place to stay on the way down from London to Devon (it is mid-way between the 2, just off the A303). First impressions are the village is "picture postcard". Rooms are very comfortable and have an individual feel. The bar has a very large selection of ales - something they are obviously proud... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night on 2nd June - we booked last minute through [----] having decided to go to Longleat (which was fab) and were surprised that such a fantastic place had anything available last minute. The room was modern and beautifully furnished (Room 1), the bed was very very comfortable and the linen immaculate... more
