My husband and I stayed at Castel Provence for 2 nights in mid-September. Communication before our trip was very good. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Josette and Jean-Pierre, who both speak good English. The B&B is excellently located for visiting Bayeux and the DD beaches and museums. The house and gardens are really beautiful and our upstairs room... More

This is the most wonderful place to stay! Josette and Jean-Pierre spent time with us, showed us the property, told us of the history of the home, and helped us with dinner reservations on the beach in Coursuelle-su-Mer (Juno Beach). We had the garden room, which was perfect. It included a wonderful bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and desk for writing what... More

When I booked, this was #2 in Ver-sur-mer. How could it get an better? Josette and Jean-Pierre were incredible hosts and their room and breakfast excellent. We were centrally located for the D-Day beaches and any other activity were wanted to do. But the personal touches and interactions made the stay memorable. I don't think I will have to work... More

Josette and Jean Paul are wonderful hosts who provide guests with a warm welcome and comfortable and clean accommodation that is set in beautiful grounds. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. We definitely plan on a longer visit to the region and will stay at Castel Provence.

We received a very warm welcome from Jean-Pierre and Josette who have two rooms available for B&B in their beautifully restored house. We had the garden room which is on the ground floor at the end of the house and has the benefit of a small kitchenette integral with the well equipped bedroom. The room was very comfortable and there... More

Josette and Jean Pierre are the most gracious of hosts who have thoughtfully prepared two comfortable rooms for their guests. The gardens are lovely with several little sitting areas. We especially enjoyed our conversations with Jean Pierre, talking into the night about the history of the region and of their home which was occupied first by the Germans, then by... More

Our tour of Normandy was made more enjoyable and interesting due to our hosts, Josette and Jean Pierre. We enjoyed apple cider (Calvedos) and their company on our arrival and they were very gracious in giving us suggestions on sights to see, places to go and making reservations at their favourite restaurants for dining. The breakfasts were the best we... More

Josette and jean Perre are wonderful hosts. The house is lovingly restored and amazing to stay in. We had the feel of the 18th century and the conveniences of the 21st. A very special breakfast in their magnificent kitchen with English speaking friends joining us. And the proximity to everything Normandy is perfect, a kilometer walk to the D-Day beaches.

We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at Castel Provence. Josette and Jean Pierre were very warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They gave us ideas for location attractions. The Bed and Breakfast was beautiful and the breakfast was awesome. We are from the United States so our stay helped get... More

From tea and biscuits on arrival to excellent leisurely breakfasts and an introduction to aperitifs Josette and Jean-Pierre did their utmost to make us welcome. We arrived as guests and left as friends. The house is stunning and was occupied by the German Army prior to 6/6/1944 when the British and Canadians took over. Josette and Jean-Pierre were happy to... More
