I booked this hotel knowing that it was walking distance to the railway up to Mt Pilatus, and I wasn't expecting it to be anything other than a basic hotel. It still managed to disappoint though. The rooms are as bare as you can get, with extremely small bathrooms. Our towels were not clean in our room, and the amount... More

This is a very nice cute and quaint hotel. It's run by a very nice family. It is located 300 yards from the base of Mount Pilatus. The rooms have not been renovated in over 30 years and i think that is what gives it a very country feeling.

Our tour group spent two nights here. It is very close to the train station and Mt. Pilatus so location is good. This is the only reason I considered giving it a poor rating instead of terrible. They charge ridiculous amounts for everything. The wifi is 5 CHF for the first 30 minutes and 3 CHF for every 30 after... More

Our group stayed for two nights, and everyone was very pleased with the rooms, food, service, location, everything about it. This hotel is run by a family for several generations, and it definitely had the feeling like we were staying in a home. The family environment was very nice!

This hotel is the best place to stay near Lucern, Switzerland. It's close to Mount Pilatus - a must see in Switzerland. Also close to Lucern & Zurich (by train). It is situated within walking distance of the railway station and the harbour. It's run by a wonderfull and friendly family. The meals are excellent!! All this at very reasonable... More

This hotel is at the foot of Mt Pilatus and we only stayed here because it was late and we were too tired to look for anything else. Old and tired, pokey little room, shower in an old converted cupboard, hugely over priced, small selection for breakfast, wouldn’t stay here again. This was the worst hotel for quality and value... The hotel employees give you a warm welcome to their hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic with good beds and a proper bathroom. You can also have dinner in the hotel which can be recommended. The hotel has a nice bar where you can have drinks in the evening. Breakfast is very modest but... More

We travelled from Canada to a home exchange in Lens. Enroute from Zurich we had booked online 3 rooms for 3 nights at Hotel Roessli. First we had a swim in the outdoor pool. The rooms were spotless and beds most comfortable with a lovely Swiss breakfast the next morning. The views from the windows whether at the back or... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a touring car group and were very disappointed. Despite it listing itself as a 3 star hotel on it's website, it is clearly a budget hotel which charges extra for every small request, even a boiled egg for breakfast! The rooms are very poorly furnished with 20 watt lightbulbs which make it... More
