We Stayed here a few nights in the winter of 2014, it was a great place, with good food, the beer was plentiful and well looked after. The rooms are clean and very comfy, especially the beds. It's set in a nice quiet corner of the levels, accessible from the A303, without being too close, the staff and great and... More

We Returned to the Devonshire Arms for Saturday night dinner after a long absence and thoroughly enjoyed the whole dining experience. Staff and service were very friendly, attentive and efficient and the overall ambiance was very relaxing. Great menu which is competitively priced and the quality of all dishes was excellent. 5 adults, two or three courses each with pre-dinner... More

We found this pub some years ago while touring the area. There is a little caravan site within walking distance so it was great to be able to sample its beers , wines, and food without having to worry about driving. We found its food etc excellent so we were determined to visit it again. We were not disappointed. We... More

Looks the part and Surprise Surprise is the part, this small hotel with bar and dining area sets the scene as soon as you arrive. The atmosphere is congenial and welcoming, with a well stocked bar and comprehensive wine list to compliment your choice from the interesting menu. The menu is varied and should probably exceed your expectation with the... More

This hotel is beautifully set in a little village in Somerset. It is the town pub, where apple cider flows and fabulous meals such as guinea fowl are available. Full English breakfast is included in the tariff with good coffee. Free wi fi on offer, but it only worked in the bar for us and the signal was not very... More

Found quite by chance on line, looking for somewhere near Street Outlet Centre. We had a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Our room was huge and the bathroom was as big, the old fashioned bath sat in the middle of the room which gave a romantic feel about it. We were advised to book a table as it gets... More

I took a long time to find a place for us to stay and the Devonshire Arms didn't disappoint. We had room 6 which was very comfortable with a super bed and a great bathroom - beautiful free standing bath and huge shower. Dinner was exceptionally good and I'm glad a table was reserved for us because even midweek, the... More

Visited as a party of 10 aged from mid 20's to 90's on a Tuesday lunchtime. In addition to the varied ages we had one Vegan, one Vegetarian, 2 Piscatorians and 6 Carnivores !. All expressed themselves happy with the Menu , and were subsequently delighted with their choices. Fresh ingredients, superbly cooked and well presented - without undue waiting... More
