went for a meal here last night .. limited menu .. small portions and nothing good to say about it. we ordered the only veggie meal on the menu and that was an overpriced and disappointing veggie burger .. it sounded good though and scampi and chips again disapointing with no imagination .. . wont be going back ..

Passed through on my way to a job interview and stopped off here for lunch. The food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and chatty. There is a lot of parking and plenty of tables, a pool table and big screen. Would go again.

We found this pub today by accident whilst on holiday. The staff were helpful and friendly. The Sunday lunches were large in portion size, both for adults and children. The food was hot, tasty and well received. It wasn't expensive either at £50 for a family of 5 along with 5 drinks. Very happy to have found it!

On our first night staying in Somerset we went for a wee drive & within 5 miles of our cottage we found The Old Pound Inn. 8pm on a Saturday night and they were still very happy to serve food . My wife & I both had fish & chips & lager shandies, the food was spot on (the triple... More

We visited this pub for lunch having noticed it on the way back from Burrow Mump. The bacon, Brie and cranberry ciabatta we all had was fantastic. Ellie the staff members that served us was helpful, friendly and polite. We also found the cleanliness of the toilets to be superb.

Heard that the pub had been sold but having stayed here 7 years ago thought it worth giving it another try. Seems like the rooms hadn't been touched in all that time and were looking very tired. Assured that housekeeping had done the rooms but no soap or toilet paper! A colleague was put in a room that was about... More

Thank you for your review and for sypathising with the current road closure situation. However as many reading this will agree the road closure should only affect the rate of business not the representation of the inn itself. As you have stated The Old Pound Inn has recently been taken into new ownership and we are still finding out feet... More

I stayed in The Old Pound Inn with my 6 groomsmen the night before my wedding in Aller. The rooms were specially prepared to accommodate all of us and the service was impeccable. We had a great meal in the restaurant the night before and Darrel put on a superb full English the morning of the wedding. Would highly recommend... More

I felt a little concerned as we parked the car and entered the Inn, not all pubs are dog friendly, which I quite understand ...but seconds through the door, and we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome. Then shown to our table, whilst I looked round at the attractive bar, and its lovely central fire place. I could feel... More

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast with my family, helpful friendly staff and our beef was cooked to perfection with a good selection of vegetables. Will return soon. Good luck to all at the Pound Inn. Claire.

The Old Pound Inn - what can I say? It's a super local, with the most friendly staff [owners] and excellent food and drink. Nothing is too much trouble, and you will always find a massive welcome. Good luck Pound Inn!
