We stayed for 3 nights. *Room was perfect, wi-fi connection could be better, but it's difficult to do it in old buildings like that, outside it was very good:) Area also very nice, all surrounded by orange trees. *Host were very friendly and helpfull, helped to find knowledgeable guide for Etna, recommended nice place for further stay and gave a... Booked ahead whilst on a motor scooter trip around Sicily. We did not have much idea about the place before arrival. It was chosen primarily because of its location. What a beautiful place? Calm and peaceful with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. The pool is a great asset. A warm welcome from Gabriella and pleasant, efficient staff made for a... More

If you are looking for some place to escape from the crowds of tourists rambling up and down the sicilian spots, Fondo Cipollate is your place. Basic rooms but all decorated with sensibility and respectful with the rural atmosphere of the ancient house. Gabriella will help you in your plans, and from there you can easily explore Siracusa, Taormina, Castiglione... More

We all loved staying at this lovely place amongst the orange trees. There are wonderful views and a great pool. A great deal of thought has gone into everything here. It is a wonderful retreat - very relaxing!

Each summer I travel the island of Sicily, exploring new parts, and each year I find myself returning to Fondo Cipollate. It is off the beaten path on a hillside close to Mt. Etna, the sea, amazing vineyards and spectacular (if a bit abandoned) hilltop towns. Gabriella and her staff are wonderful to stay with: helpful, caring, knowledgable of the... More

We enjoyed it to stay here. Very nice agriturismo. Rooms were spacious with airco. Pool is big. Great sight. The only negative point is the breakfast. I expected a little more of this place. The orange juice (juice with water added to it) was a disappointlent when you stay in the middle of an orange garden. This could be the... More

What a wonderful place! truly relaxing. We stayed a week at the end of June. We would recommend this excellent accommodation in this rural quiet setting with easy access to Taormina and mount Etna. Car hire essential. Gabriella was wonderful with all her local knowledge and information. Breakfast was great with fresh orange juice every morning from their own trees,... More

Well, I'd prefer to say what a terrible place this is, just to keep it for myself… Accommodation was excellent and very clean. The surrounding land was all kept immaculate… All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner goes out of her way to help you in any way she can, but leaves you in peace to enjoy... We have just spent six nights at this agriturismo, set amongst orange and olive groves. Our room was a spacious combination of sitting and bedroom with a handy hot plate, mini-fridge and sink in the corner of the sitting area. The rooms were decorated in an eclectic, rural/shabby-chic style with more than enough storage space. There is a sunny pool... More

Stayed for 3 nights at this delightful Agriturismo - the room was very special and was part of the old building. The room was large and really comfortable with air conditioning and shuttered windows allowing an airy feel. The Agriturismo is tucked away off the beaten track and allows a true rural appreciation of the peace and quiet of the... More
