The staff where very nice, the rooms are great, communal terrace very convenient. The spa admission rate was discounted, Some minor redecoration may be required but this in no way detracts from the great experience.

Hotel is a dream for golf and sightseeing. We had a lovely room with Etna views. The staff speaks English and the food very good. Prices if wine reasonable We will come back! Perfection at its best. Spa lovely and helicopter pad! Golf players paradise!

Hotel rooms are ok. Place is beatiful but the service is horrible. Waiters very unkind, bar always closed. Rooms are ok, clean and large. Wifi only in the reception and very complicated!! Every time you connect you need to type a number given to you by the reception and a password !!! This is so stupid for a place in... More

Stayed here in October 2014 during a tour of Southern Italy and Sicily with Saga. It was our least favourite hotel, unsuitable for a tour group because we had to keep going up the mountain every day to go to anywhere! As. Already observed there were not enough staff and service was slow. A car would be essential but still... More

Modern hotel in a beautiful setting, but very isolated. If you don't have your own transport, the only real option is the pool. The service was poor. Maybe it was the end of season, but the meals took forever to be served. The bar service was very slow. The food, we were told, was prepared by a top chef who... More

Stayed here in October 2014, very nice hotel but only if you play golf or you enjoy spar treatment. Set in lovely surroundings on the slopes of Mount Etna, the hotel is remote and peaceful. That means that unless you have your own transport you are isolated. We did manage to use public transport to Catania but it was not... More

Stayed here as part of a Saga tour. The hotel is quite remote and to go anywhere you need a taxi or hire car as local buses not easy. If you play golf or want a spa treatment or a relaxing time with nothing to do it is fine. The hotel is understaffed in both the bar and restaurant and... More

I loved the hotel, classical but elegant, clean and very comfortable. The context is extremely pleasant, in the countryside surrounding Mount Etna. We live not too far away and spent a weekend for an incentive meeting, but we were still surprised by the beauty of the landscape and this elegant villa. There's a nice spa, an putdoor swimming pool and... More

To start off with when booking this holiday we were a little concerned with a couple of reviews which outlined the location as 'not the best',although the price we obtained through Expedia was in the region of £450 each for 11 nights with flights so this was hard to turn down. In truth if you are looking for a typical... More

Dear guest, Thanks a lot for choosing Il Picciolo and for writing this nice review, we are really glad about your positive comments. Next time don’t forget to try our restaurant, with many typical dishes, prepared by our chef Cristian Busca. Hope to see you again soon! More

Expedia found this hotel for us and although the half- board was pricey the breakfast only was incredibly good value. The room we had was facing north (so no view of Etna) but gave lovely views of the range behind Castiglione. The Room was well looked and large enough for a couple of adults to shuffle about between exclusions. Marble... More
