Very nice hotel. Very quiet, clean and well equipped. The restaurant serves very good food. It's open until late evening. Even arriving very late, you can enjoy a delicious dinner For use of guests there is a parking lot next to hotel.

We arrived here at 8pm after a long journey and were well received. We had a comfortable room. There was plenty of hot water. Within 10 minutes we went down to eat and enjoyed an excellent meal and two refreshing Pils beers. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The packed lunch consisted of two bottles of fizzy spring water, an... More

The hotel was a bit outside the center of town but it was ok since they also had a restaurant. We were very tired after a long trip from Sweden with a lot of traffic jams at the autobahn so it was good to just walk downstairs for a good meal. We got a big room at the first floor,... More

Spent one night here when walking the Harzer Hexen Stieg. Hotel is basic but comfortable. Staff were helpful, making us up a nice lunch when we arrived mid afternoon. Be aware that no one speaks English here however, as we found right through the Harz. My wife speaks reasonable German so we were ok but without that we would have... More

This is a good hotel with an excellent restaurant. They had the menu translated into English which was very helpful for us with such poor German. The food was particulary good - I would say well above average for such a moderately priced hotel. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the packed lunch generous. Would happily stay there... More

We stayed here at the start of a walking holiday, and many of the other guests seemed to be similarly there for the outdoors. The staff were friendly and breakfast was fine. The room was nice and neat and everything was clean and fresh but nothing was particularly memorable about it.

Driving through the dark, we decided to call it a night in Osterode. Our sat nav came up with this hotel. Our initial expectations were not good, as the town seemed small and dead, and the hotel door was locked. However somebody responded to the night doorbell, and, although initially appearing to be suspicious of me standing on the doorstep,... More
