I have been many times for breakfast & it's been ok. This last was expensive for what we ordered. Our little one had pancakes with little bowl of fruit topped with yogurt. She has had before. This time it made her very sick. Immediately after eating her fruit she was vomiting. I know it was the yogurt. I have not... More

So sorry to hear about your daughter. I've owned CoCo for 4 years and never have had a problem like this before. We wake up at 6 in the morning and go to the market and pick out the freshest fruits and buy a new yogurt every day. The Kitchen is very clean and is open so everyone can see... More

This was one of the first places that I went to when I first visited Ecuador. It has changed a lot over the years to include all different kinds of food from breakfast to beer. I have personally tried their pizza and was very pleased. Their breakfast plates are huge you could probably share one between 2 people. The coffee... More

So I cant say anything about the rooms - we have been there just to drink a coffee on a lazy beach day.... So their menu offers o lot of food but at the end they just served coffee with cheescacke or pizza. So lets end it quickly the cheescacke is an disgusting mixture of sugar and flour - the... More

We sell around 120 cheesecakes a week, your the first person that hasn't loved our cheesecake. The only flour in a cheese cake is the crust and we use a pretty thin crust, its more of a coconut flour base. We have 2 types of cheese cakes Waffle Cheesecake(Our waffles are great) so maybe you had that cheesecake. We mix... More

The Coco Bongo does not rent rooms anymore. It is under construction and will rent apartments instead. I am not sure if it will be long term or not. The restaurant and bar are open. The food is good and so are the drinks.

I stayed at Coco Bongo for 4 nights when I visited Bahia. It was a great hostel/hotel, with reasonable prices, tasty food, attentive staff, and comfortable, artistic decor. I stayed in a dorm style room with 5 other travelers. It was cozy but low cost so I didn't expect luxury. The breakfast was delicious. Some of the other patrons were... More

Have been there on various occasions and would like to strongly recommend a visit when you're in Bahia. Friendly staff managed by Luis Miguel, best pizza in town, cosmopolitan atmosphere and great drinks with good selection of music . Perfect place to stay.

The bar and restaraunt downstairs has good food and atmosphere. The rooms upstairs are small, hot, with little to no breeze,as you cannot open the windows because mosquitos come in the "sreen-less" windows. They do put a plug-in mosquito coil in upon check in, that should have been our first clue. For the price you can go around the corner to... More

Fab location in Bahia next to the park, and the pizza is seriously amazing, better than had in the UK, US and Italy. I only ate here so can't comment on the rooms but the restaurant is bright and funky looking and even if wasn't, the pizza is worth a visit alone!

First, if you're looking for a four star hotel experience, with mints on the pillow, etc., this is not the place for you. This little hostal in Bahia de Caraquez instead offers a great home away from home experience. It doesn't try to be a big hotel - what it does try to do, and does very well is to offer... More
