My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and very happy with the Unterpazeider!
The staff is friendly, warm and professional. Our room (309) was a junior suite...very large with a huge wrap-around terrace with incredible views. We had our two small dogs with us and it was perfect. - Very comfortable and super-clean...fluffy robes, sitting area, sofa, refrigerator, feather beds.
The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the lovely town of Merano, with views of castles, green meadows and mountains. The hotel is surrounded by apple orchards and walking trails - the grounds are lush, each pot and planter is cheerfully brimming with colorful flowers. (If you want to go into Merano, it’s a quick 10 minute drive or there is a little train stop just up the street from the hotel.)
We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel (half board)- both very good...breakfast was a generous buffet with baskets of delicious breads, cakes, pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, cereals, yoghurts... more
