The three young children travelling with us all received gifts and slippers in their rooms, much to their delight. On the... more

Stayed here recently and it was a fantastic weekend. Castle lovely, staff fantastic, food and drink excellent. Large comfortable bedrooms with nice view of the lake. Very expensive but worth it and I would definately recommend a trip here. Only fault is that there is no swimming pool and the spa area is a bit tired ! more

If you are thinking of staying here then dont think get booking...this was the most wonderful Hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. The service was second to none, as were the surroundings and the whole experience was just not to be missed. more

We head down to the Castle a few times in the year when in the area because it has this mystical relaxing wipe out affect on what you were doing for the rest of the week. Our most recent visit was a tad disappointing in the sense that it was the first time we have been there when it was... more

We stayed at Ashford Castle for 3 nights on a 70th Anniversay Rate which included breakfast which was excellent. Of greatest disappointment to us was the owner's decision not to black out reservation dates to host his daughter's wedding reception which turned the grounds into a major worksite. Our clean and spacious Corrib Room would normally provide guests with an... more

We stayed at Ashford for nine wonderful days. The staff was first class and truly made us feel at home. We had most evening dinners (very good ones) at the King George V restaurant after two disappointing meals at the Dungeon (Cullen's). In Cong, try the Hungry Monk: it was very good. Patrick Luskin's Lough Corrib cruise is not to... more
