We stayed there as we had a wedding to go to in Ashford castle grounds, the wall in the room had mildew, it had stains on the carpet, cobwebs on the ceiling and the just a rotten smell. There was moss all over the roof, looking out our bedroom window. It had a 90s feel to the hotel and was... More

Stayed at Ryan's hotel as it seemed like the obvious choice due to its fantastic location in the center of the village!the hotel itself is very basic and dated, needs a deep clean! This could be easily forgiven as cong itself makes up for the dingy sleeping quaters, but the staff were so unbelievably rude and incompetent there is no... More

We stayed chose to stay in Cong on recommendations from other people. It is a beautiful quaint Irish village from a bygone ear. Unfortunately the range of accommodation is also from a bygone era. The pub itself is charming and the staff were definitely very polite and helpful. The rooms themselves are very old and in need of some refurbishment.... More

We stayed for only one night but we would not stay here again. It was €80 for the night but it was not worth the money. The tv didn't work and the place needs a good clean no excuse for what looked like months old cobwebs, spiders and dust. On the plus side the towels and sheets were clean and... More

My sister, parents, and I visited Ireland in May 2013. We stayed two nights at this wonderful B&B. It is exactly what I wanted when we decided to visit Ireland. It is an older B&B but so comfortable and charming. I wish we could have stayed longer but this was our last stay in Ireland before heading back to Shannon.... More

My mom and I visited Ireland last fall. The only place she requested we visit was Cong so she could see where The Quiet Man was filmed. We drove into town without a place to stay and found Ryan's Hotel. We ended up staying 2 nights because of the people and sights in his tiny town. The staff was great... More

This hotel is not all marble and glass it is traditional, but it is extremely good value for B&B. We slept late and although the dining room was closed we had breakfast in the bar. It was lovely. The bar food is very nice and reasonably priced. The Hotel was very clean. The restaurant menu looked lovely but we didn't... More

We loved this historic little hotel in the heart of Cong village, best known for its role in the classic John Wayne film 'The Quiet Man'. I admit this was the reason for our stop though this town, but it has so much more to offer. The hotel is old, don't get me wrong, but it is charming and Dennis... More
