Really enjoyed my stay at moalboal backpackers. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the dorm rooms are cosey, cute and social. The beds are all eqipped with mosquito nets and there are two hammocks hung up for chilling. The bamboo balcony in particular is a great feature for socializing with other people. Although not providing food, the hostel is... More

The hostel is in a good location. Panagsama in Moalboal is a small area and you can easily have access to the beach. The hostel is ok. True to its name being a backpacker place. The dorm room is not a room actually. It is a space upstairs where the beds are. Cheap, friendly staff and homey.

Had a really good stay here. The staff are very friendly and chatty. Good home feel to the place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The bungalows are nice and have hammocks hanging on the balcony. Huge lockers, bring your own lock. I would stay here again for sure.

This was my second time staying in Moalboal Backpacker Lodge. Dealing with reservations and following up with them if they received my deposit was a bit tiresome but everything else went smoothly. I got one bed in a two bed dorm, the room was clean and comfortable. The room had a fan and windows which helped cool the room down.... More

This is one of the worst hostel I've been. Friends of mine arrived in Moalboal one day before us and told us about this hostel. So we arrived at the hostel, couldn't get in touch with my friends. Tried to talk to the staffs, unfortunately they were most probably the worst people I've met in Philippines, not helpful and rude.... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the private room upstairs beside the dorm room looking out onto the road. The room was sooo hot and noisy due to being by the roadside. Comfortable beds with good mosquito net. Good common balcony area and hammocks to relax in. Toilets and showers were clean. Upon arrival I didn't feel welcomed more like... More

I stayed at the twin room situated behind for 9 nights which is an individual bamboo hut and had a hammock to laze in! There is mosquito netting for each bed as well as fans and windows for ventilation. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. I got a free jug of water daily which the lovely girls topped... If you have to go to Moalboal, please don't stay in this hostel! I've travelled the world and this is the worst hostel I've EVER stayed in. The owner is a grumpy guy that will come over to the hostel only to be unfriendly, shouting at guests, and being rude to everyone. There is NO value for money. The showers... More

First night sleeping in a private, seperate room on "backyard" was perfect. Then moved to communal sleeping area, room very next to street, which was awful. There is a pool on the opposite side of the road, (other hotel's pool) which generator kept on running with a big noise for the most of the time. Also a "red light bar"... More

Moalboal Backpackers is run by really lovely, friendly women; the rooms and common areas are very clean, and the common area upstairs is a perfect hangout place with very comfy hammocks you can lie in on a rainy day. They provide their guests with towels that you can take diving with you, which is great, and there's a place to... More
