So let's start with what people need to hear. Pros: - staff that's fluent in English - rooms that are cozy that make you feel like you are staying in a cabana (part of the architecture) - hammocks - staff again. They would always help you get the best deal out of your planned trips (Pescador, Canyoneering, Bangag marine sanctuary,... More

Booked a twin room for 2 nights. Staff were friendly and accommodating. No lock on the sliding door. Restroom is big with a shower but no hot water. You can cook your own meal on the kitchen with a fee of Php 20/person. Lights were a bit dim for my liking. The bed is soft with mosquito net. Towel is... More

This place generally has good reviews so maybe I am missing something, but I didn't have a great stay. I had a private room, and while it was a very cool room, there was only a sliding door with no lock (the other private rooms did have doors that locked, so you should ask about this). There was a lockbox... More

We stayed twice in the Blue Gecko Private Room (P700/night). The room is very spacious with ensuite washroom and little dining area. The bed is very soft and covered in misquote net. The walls are quite thin and the town wakes up early, so try go to bed early and wake up early for best sleeps! The room is far... More

Really enjoyed my stay at moalboal backpackers. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the dorm rooms are cosey, cute and social. The beds are all eqipped with mosquito nets and there are two hammocks hung up for chilling. The bamboo balcony in particular is a great feature for socializing with other people. Although not providing food, the hostel is... More

The hostel is in a good location. Panagsama in Moalboal is a small area and you can easily have access to the beach. The hostel is ok. True to its name being a backpacker place. The dorm room is not a room actually. It is a space upstairs where the beds are. Cheap, friendly staff and homey.

Had a really good stay here. The staff are very friendly and chatty. Good home feel to the place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The bungalows are nice and have hammocks hanging on the balcony. Huge lockers, bring your own lock. I would stay here again for sure.

This was my second time staying in Moalboal Backpacker Lodge. Dealing with reservations and following up with them if they received my deposit was a bit tiresome but everything else went smoothly. I got one bed in a two bed dorm, the room was clean and comfortable. The room had a fan and windows which helped cool the room down.... More

This is one of the worst hostel I've been. Friends of mine arrived in Moalboal one day before us and told us about this hostel. So we arrived at the hostel, couldn't get in touch with my friends. Tried to talk to the staffs, unfortunately they were most probably the worst people I've met in Philippines, not helpful and rude.... More
