My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 days in July. It happened to be my birthday when we arrived and I didn't tell them this, so I presume they had a look at my passport and realised. This meant when we went down for dinner they suprised me with a bottle of champagne and cocktails. A really lovely gesture... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Platanista during summer 2013 and it was our first holiday together. I must say it was a memorable holiday! - Food The half-board food options were a delight! Every morning there's an array of options for breakfast including traditional English food, various cereals, pancakes, waffles and even meats. The evening meal was then... More

Never having been to Greece before, we were both excited and apprehensive in equal amounts. We need not have worried, as Kos and Hotel Platanista met all of our expectations. As previous guests have stated, the hotel is kept beautifully clean, the pools and grounds are delightful, and the dining room, which has an outdoor dining section, makes the dining... More

Hotel is set back off the main road but within a 15-20min walk into town. Opposite is a great place to hire cars and bikes of all types which hotel patrons get a discount but you can still haggle on that price too especially out of season. Staff are great in the hotel and the place is always been cleaned... More

We went to the Platanista for their last week of the season in October with our 8 year old. The weather was mostly sunny with one windy rainy day in 10 days so not bad for October The hotel itself is lovely clean and spacious as other reviewers have said. Our room was of average size with a double and... More

I have been to this hotel a number of times and it continues to provide a brilliant holiday experience, The hotel is well managed, the accommodation, grounds, restaurant, bars and pools are great, rooms spotlessly clean and the buildings well maintained but what will always be the key factor for me is that the staff team who are fun and... We have just returned on 24/10 from 11 super days at the Platanista. I have to say that this is one of the best all round 4* hotels that we have stayed in anywhere in Greece. All the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant to talk to and were jovial. My initial requests prior to arrival were met in their entirety... More

We have just returned from a week's stay at the hotel Platanista. We had a deluxe room which was well worth the extra charge. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed, sofa, fridge, flat screen TV and a powerful monsoon walk in shower in the bathroom. The complimentary bathrobes and slippers were much appreciated. The maids did... More

Managed to get a late deal with Thomson for a one week stay at the Hotel Platanista. Great location that is a short walk away from Kos town and a hotel that offers the best in accommodation and food. The staff were cheerful, polite and very helpful at all times. As a coeliac sufferer, a special mention to Marios, the... More

This was 2 Weeks/2 board in a clean and comfortable 4* hotel with a good choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Room 584 had an excellent view of the hills. We were surrounded by local life with all the sounds associated with the farmyard. I would of liked to of used the minibar as a fridge but was told... More
