This hotel is an excellent hotel. It was clean, and the food was realy good. This hotel makes you feel at home. It,s realy worth your money. The staf in de diner, poolbar, and snackbar are friendley to the guest in the hotel. And when you want to have a good laugh,go in the eavening upstairs to the mainbar. Nicos the barkeeper is... more

We booked last minute although fairly well researched (I checked trip advisor!) and everything that you read that is positive is true.....the pool, facilities, food, rooms, service are all excellent. We booked half board but actually thought we would go out most evenings anyway, but the food was so good we stayed at the hotel for dinner 5 nights, then... more

Having just returned from a two week holiday at The Platanista, I wanted to tell anyone considering going here to jump at it. Everything was wonderful for my wife and I from the hotel in general, the rooms, the food, the location, absolutely everything. We walked 20 minutes each day to the local town and harbour as it was such... more

I have been to the Hotel Platanista a number of times in recent years and the reason why I have returned is twofold 1) I have met a lot of interesting and amusing people from both the guests and staff team who I now would classify as friends and 2) the hotel provides everything you need for a relaxing break... more

We have just returned from a week's stay at this excellent, family run hotel. We were fortunate to have had exceptionally good weather during our stay, which perhaps had a halo effect, but nonetheless. the hotel is recommended. In summary of the good and not quite so good points, the positives were the cleanliness, the space, the service standards, the... more

The rooms are really good, the food was ok (in town you can taste better specialities in small taverns) the swimming pool clean, everything are clean and spotless! A small but well-done area is formed to a beauty salon and spa. The services there are amazing! The staff is well trained, believe me; I am a beautician and my husband... more

We stayed he as a group i.e 2 couples and think overall ,it was a really nice hotel. We asked for 2 rooms next to each other but The hotel night porter made a mistake (when we arrived at 5am) and gave our room to the wrong people. They tried to put us in a smoking room (which stank) until... more

We have visited this hotel for many years on a regular basis and will continue to have our holidays at the Hotel Platanista. The family who own the hotel have dedicated themselves to providing a first class, very comfortable, well furnished, exceptionally well maintained hotel with many facilities available if you choose to use them - sauna, spa, gym, beautician.... more

I have always read reviews on the hotels I plan to book and did the same before booking the Platanista. I was not disappointed!!The hotel is lovely and certainly suited best to adults as many reviews state. The room we had was fantastic with beautiful views of the pool and surrounding hills. Entertainment stopped well before midnight so a good... more

We stayed at the Platanista for 1 week and overall were very disappointed. We have 2 young children age 6 and 8 and felt (having read previous reviews) the hotel entertainment really let us down. For our next holiday we will make sue we book a family holiday with a kids club and professional childrens entertainment. The platanista provided very... more
