First, of all, we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered we were going to be staying at the Maya instead of the Lindo. The Lindo was not open because of Hurricane Damage. Folks who had stayed here before stated that there was extensive damage, especially near the beach and that this area did not look quite the same. We thought... More

This was the absolute best vacation ever! And we've taken many vacations over the years. We booked our trip 2 1/2 weeks before Wilma and traveled ~ 3 weeks after Wilma. It was quite a roller coaster ride with 4 different airline reservations and 3 different resorts, but finally we pulled it off. I never considered cancelling as long as... More

What to say about the Maya? This was our second attempt at a honeymoon...our first one was cancelled thanks to Hurricane Emily, only to be sent home after 3 days thanks to Wilma... This is an incredible resort and we are looking forward to another attempt at this beautiful resort. Except not during hurricane season. Everyone was so helpful and... More

We were there from December 2 until 9. We landed at 6h45 p.m. (Air Transat) and we were in our room at 8h10 p.m (we didn’t take a private transportation but the one offered by our tour operator – Transat Holidays). It’s the first time for us that things are going so fast. Check-in process is quick and private. Welcome... More

Well like everybody else we were upgrated to the Maya because the Lindo was in repair. Two restaurants the Italian and Japanese which are to be finished by Dec 10th (in their dreams only) by the way it's going they'll be lucky by January. Most of the Palm trees are cut at the top, devastation is seened at a lot... More

After a stressful few weeks in late October, early November, our plans finally came together and we were able to stick to our original plan of heading to the Iberostart Paraiso Lindo. Lindo? Well, that's where we were supposed to stay, but it was still slightly under repair after hurricane Wilma came through and took it's toll on the Iberostar... More

We had a 10 day stay at the Maia, beginning 11/18. The 4 Iberostar hotels (Maya, Lindo, Del Mar, Beach) are all part of one big complex which is accessed through a security entrance off the main highway. There is also a new hotel under construction, and a small sized convention center. The complex is laid out well, and it... More

My husband and I were at this hotel for Hurricane Wilma. I just want to say how wonderful the entire staff of the hotel was during the whole ordeal. We had electricity, running water and extrememly clean bathrooms for the entire time we were in their shelter. They also managed to feed us three times a day and provided DVD... More

In a word.....WOW! And, that wow has many conotations. First of all, we are a family of four with a girl age 11 and a boy almost 6. Wow for the resort. I have been reluctant to go the all inclusive route, but no more. It was truly great. The kids had a great time and the staff was just... More
