Read the reviews on here prior to travelling and was unsure what to expect, the people who had a bad experience on here were in the minority, everyone we chatted to loved the place. We were in building 3, Master Suite, great for the pool and what a pool it is, very child friendly, lots of activities for them so... More

Everything about the Mayan Palace is pretty great. The pools are awesome and huge, the proximity to the beach is incredible, the restaurants are all out of this world (particularly Tramonto), and the par 3 Nicklaus golf course is beautiful and challenging with lots of water holes and waste bunkers to keep you on your toes. The staff really make... More

The resort was beautiful and very friendly staff. Room service was a little shady so keep all receipts because we got charged twice for room service and ask what you're signing. There were 16 of us that were on this trip and we had a great time!

"Master Room" or "Studio" is a regular two queen bed room that has no coffee machine. The room service is good, the "Suite" and the "Master Suite" are very nice and have kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful. There are four hotels that are connected and share the grounds. The Mayan Palace has the best pool. They offer daily Zumba classes... More

Our check-in date was June 27, 2015. I have no idea why this resort has anything above a 2-star rating. The property is MASSIVE & houses multiple resorts. Be prepared to WALK! Chose either the Grand Mayan, the Grand Bliss or the Grand Luxx. The lobby is very deceptive with it's pleasant scent & updated & modern furnishings. Then you... More

Very poor experience. Grand Mayan rooms are so outdated. They considered themselves as a luxury hotel and they don't even offer feather pillows. To me it is a 2 or 3 star hotel... A/C wasn't working and it was reported twice and they couldn't fix it. They have rules for everything… You need a card to get a towel, you... More

Good value Highly recommended for those wanting to relax around the pool. Buy groceries in nearby Puerto Moreles by taking the local Express bus that travels along the highways for only MEX$20 (pesos). This is a vere efficient system...simply flag down the white vans as you see them whizzing by. Can be used to go the Playa del Carmen and... More

I booked this hotel for a great price. The location was also perfect. There are plenty of restaurants & shops in the area. My girlfriend & I used Lloyd's Rocky Point Shuttle. We were driven to the Mayan Palace from Az & shuttle around the area. Its definitely a beautiful hotel with great accommodation. Overall all we had an awesome... More

Beautiful resort with gorgeous pools and fine dining restaurants, especially Havana Moon restaurant. The finest staff, very respectful, friendly and extremely accommodating people. Tours to the cenotes and the Spanish galleon ship "Columbus" was great, along with shopping to 5th ave. in Playa del Carmen.

Well I am glad to be given this review first off the resort is very very nice and the people there go out of their way to make you happy from the housekeepers to the waiters and staff. Our room was kept tidy each and every day of our 7 day stay. The food was amazing but one thing that... More
