We just returned from our 3rd trip to Mayan Palace, our second trip to this location as owners. We were pleased to see improvements and disappointed by some. First, as always, resort was very clean, pools and beach area great and food was fantastic. We were pleased to see prices hadn't increased much since our visit 2 years ago. A... More

That's the negative...and that in Bldg 16 you are a 15 min walk to the pool. But the service and staff were so wonderful that I can't say enough about the trip we had. 2 servers told us on day 6 "tip is included" seems we were over tipping all week...tips are included ln bills at the snack bars and... Our travel agency offered us a special to visit Cancun, Mexico with a stay at the Vidanta Group Mayan Palace Resort, Riviera Maya. The Mayan Palace is one of several hotel/resorts within the massive complex of hotels, resort and restaurants. They even have an eighteen hole golf course. We stayed in the Mayan Palace, which is on the lower end... More

We are owners of a Mayan Palace timeshare. It always amazes me when we check in that they want so much information, yet they never have trouple finding us at home when the maintenance fee is due. Check in takes longer than it should. We were immediately greeting by the timeshare people who pointed out the features of the resort... More

We stayed at the Mayan Palace Jan.24-31, through an Interval International exchange. I want to be fair about my review so I will say the POSITIVE ones first. Beautiful grounds. Service is great by staff. Expect to do a lot of walking to get from one area to another. We needed the exercise. There are very nice wood walkways, through... More

We had a great time at the Mayan Palace. I was consistently impressed by the number of workers running around the resort cleaning, trimming bushes, and assisting guests. The pool and beach are beautiful, so we spent most of our time lounging there. We only tried one restaurant but I really enjoyed it (Tacos Break). We cooked most of our... More

Hi everyone. I love the Mayan Palace because there are so many ways to enjoy relaxation. If you want to be social -- go to the pool, the beach, or Playa town. Need some extras? Catch a taxi to WalMart in Playa town. Take your own bags and be eco-friendly. Need something different to do? What about diving, or snorkeling?... More

The room was nice but not nearly as nice as the ones we saw advertised from home. To see the really nice rooms, you go on a horrific, hard-driving, lie-filled, half-day sales presentation before you ever get a chance to start your vacation. They cost a good deal of money and you have to buy a timeshare to get one.... More

We come here every year and love it. The pool is the largest I have ever seen. They have at least 6 restaurants on the grounds. A beautiful spa and fitness rooms! Fantastic "kids program" and many, many activities for everyone. The resort is immaculate! They'll do anything to make your stay a good one! Night activities too. I love... More

We took a family vacation to this resort. I would rate this a 3 out of 5 due to beach conditions and heavy timeshare sell tactics. The hotel setup is quite large with rooms particularly far from the actual beach. You spend a lot of time traveling from room to beach via golf cart type trams. Restaurant and staff were... More
