Just returned from the Mayan Palace. The pools and beach area were excellent and very relaxing. We would have given our experience an overall 4/5 if it weren't for the fact that we had a pair of sunglasses and earrings taken from our room! We were careful to protect our valuables but did not expect that everything would have to... More

The only nice thing I can say about this property is that the service staff is excellent. On arrival we waited over 5 hours to get our room because they just won't let you check in until 5PM. That makes no sense. Then we find that there is a $75US resort charge for each day of your stay. For that... More

Check-In was a disaster; got bumped from The Bliss (No Rooms Available???) to the Grand Mayan (No rooms Available Until 9 PM) to The Mayan Palace. For the inconvenience, they gave free transportation to the airport and free Wi-Fi, which rarely worked in our room. People were lined-up at Concierge's Desk to complain about Wi-Fi not working in rooms. Staff... More

This part of the property is dated, and only in fair condition. The bed we first had only was a box springs. No mattress or topper. Pulled out the bedding on day one, and a cockroach climbed out. But wait, there's more. While turning on a lamp, I was shocked. Called the front desk and requested a new room. Had... More

My mother, my husband and I recently stayed at Mayan Palace Riviera Maya. My mother is a vacation time share owner (in her 80s) and I had to be very firm with the timeshare "agents" to get them to stop bothering her to upgrade. We had a "complimentary shuttle" to property on our arrival in Cancun (we took a taxi... More

The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are spacious. The pools are grand, blue and clean (if not a little chilly, but it was November for the time of travel). I loved looking at the scenery right there at our hotel. It made me feel very relaxed and where I love to be - a part of nature. What I did... More

Ok, so I am an owner with the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta, but have never stayed there. I have stayed at this property 3 times. The first time was in the Grand Mayan, and the last two time in the Mayan Palace. So let me tell you that things are spread out, and growing rapidly. They do have golf... More

My friend is an owner and absolutely loves this place. Read some of the reviews and would tend to agree with how far away you are from everything, Playa del Carmen a 25 min taxi ride ($22 usd) and Cancun a 45 min taxi ride ($45 usd). You have to wait for the golf cart tram to get to the... More

We visited this resort to relax and take in some local attractions. Check in took almost 1/2 hour with the excuse there were a lot of trainees. Next is the transportation system. It is 1 mile from the rooms to the highway. They do not allow tour operators on the property and do not have a shuttle system to the... More

My wife and I just returned yesterday- Nov 7th - from a seven night stay at the Mayan Palace. If your are an owner here I feel sorry for you sell it if you can. If you are thinking of transferring to this place then quickly FORGET about it. That is what we did and what a mistake that was.... More
