We were fortunate to have a family member with time share. This place is awesome. The food is excellent, staff very friendly. Rooms are cleaned 2times a day. Even though this is a holiday week fully booked this resort can handle it. The pool is amazing lots of space to be comfortable. Love the palapas. We are considering a time... More

We just returned from Playa del Carmen with great memories. We had an excellent time at our hotel. The activities run by the Activity center made a huge difference in our family and made our vacation so excited. We have 3 boys ages 11, 7 and 3 and they had a blast with all the activities plan for them each... More

I've been to this resort 5 times so there's not much that's new to report. I still feel it's a great place to go with family. The staff is so polite, the food is above average quality, the pool is huge and the weather is always great. I still say that you should skip the "90 minute" presentation on time... More

Gorgeous resort, horrible experience. The restaurant and bar staff nice but the resort is too big, you need the golf cart staff to take you everywhere (from your room to the pool or restaurant). Check in was a nightmare an additional $500.00 fee incurred that was not addressed upon reserving hotel. The room was one of the worst I have... More

Note: My rating is for the Mayan Palace, NOT the Grand Mayan that is part of the same property. Pros: Beautiful, lush landscaping. Exceptionally well-kept grounds and buildings. Comfortable rooms with very good air conditioning and high level of cleanliness. Can drink water from the tap. Friendly, well-trained employees who appear to enjoy their jobs and take pride in their... More

A wonderful facility with plenty to do. Please note, the BEACH is NOT a real beach, but more rocks and shells, BUT for a very nice 15 minute walk towards Cancun, you will fine perfect sand and fun waves to play in, plus some beautiful private residences to envy. All staff are very friendly. I must mention Pablo and Hermy... More

Stayed at the Mayan Palace thru an RCI exchange. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a small refrigerator, microwave, stove and sink. Like other reviews had mentioned, the time share sales pitch is awful. Because I was not with my husband (therefore I obviously could not buy one)- the shortened overview presentation was offered. Only 45 minutes, free buffet,... More

We decided to try a new resort during spring break. The concierge staff were wonderful - arranged our free shuttle to the resort and offered suggestions on tours during our 2 week stay. The staff were very welcoming and were greeting us by name. The shuttle drivers were also very friendly and courteous. Beautiful resort - just too far from... More

As a vacation property, it is as nice as most of the others I have visited in Cancun. However, during my time there, I rarely saw a smile on any of the staff. The buffet isn't too bad. Lots of variety and the quality was acceptable. But this is not a traditional hotel--it's a time share that's now called a... More

Hotel room is spotless; staff is friendly and willing to help. The Pool is pretty nice and beach is decent but they are making slow progress to get rid off the rocks by adding more sand to the beach. My rating was not excellent because their internet service is over price. It is like $ 7.00 per hour and the... More
