Pros; - cool network of jungle pathways and bridges; great for walking or running - excellent pool, must be an acre - units are spacious, well appointed and well maintained Cons; - expensive onsite store - no ability to walk to "real mexico" - stuck in tourist land - beach is coral & not great for swimming - ridiculous prices... Wonderful resort we found out that the month of may is their rainy season in Mexico. Had a great time anyway. Myself And my wife belong to global vacations and while there was still approached by the time share people.recommend visiting playa de Carmen the beaches are much nicer than Rivera maya

Hello, We stayed here at the Mayan Palace and the Grand Bliss. Over 3500 staff work here and they seem very happy and therefore very happy to help make your stay enjoyable. Some suggestions: 1. Happy Hour drinks (2 for 1) at 11am and 3 pm make the best deal , add ice to your drink and the water is... More

This is our fourth time staying at Mayan Palace, the third time with our extended family (parents and children). We were in building 11 this time, third floor - we had two, two bedroom units. We are not owners of the property we have a vacation club that we are fortunate enough to get to stay at the Mayan Palace.... More

We have stayed at many resorts of this type and the Mayan Palace is as good if not better than most. The grounds are the best and the staff is constantly doing upgrades. Be sure to do a walk around at night for the full experience. We spent a day just doing a walking tour, seeing the crocodiles and flamingos... More

My 3 girlfriends and I just got back from a week at the Mayan Palace. From start to finish it was an exceptional vacation. I knew what to expect from reading other reviews so there really were no surprises. Check in was easy, we were in Building 18 and we enjoyed our walk to the pool or beach every day.... More

The Mayan Palace is absolutely stunning. They have thought of everything they could do to keep you there and to make you comfortable and to fill your time with enjoyable activities. Our week there flew by and we returned much more relaxed, refreshed and reinvigorated. At the same time, while the Mayan Palace has done everything they can to watch... More

The pros: -Nice facilities -Nice pool The cons: -Bad service -Everything is far, far away -Everything is expensive (more than a normal restaurant) We recently stayed there for a week with my in-laws, rented 2 apartments for a total of 8 adults and 3 children. The hotel rooms look nice and are well maintained, also the maid service in the... More

Vidanta, the new owners have put equipment on the beach. There is a trapeze trampoline, giant chess, a climbing wall, a little children play area. The beach seems bigger so they must have imported more sand. They have replaced most of the pathways with wooden walkways which are better. Building is occurring and Balche has been demolished. The main swimming... More

First of all my room was facing the jugle!! In fact all rooms are facing the jugle, which I didn't know until I already paid for it! Everything was expensive. I checked in and before I got my key it was given to a person that was trying to sell me a timeshare! Until I gave her $20 to hear... More
