Of course, this is a timeshare facility which we knew when we traded our existing timeshare in Cancun for this one. And we went to the sales pitch which took place on your first day there. My advice would be, do not buy unless you have been there a few days. You are right between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.... More

I want to say I had a nice time with my hubby! I would like to go over the pro's and con's Con's: Mosquitos all over, I have never experienced this at a resort. Avon makes a spray that doesn't stink but the 1st night I got eaton up before I hosed down. Second, this hotel has NO ocean view.... More

Prepare to pay for Wifi (170 Pesos per day), shuttle to go to town (5USD per person, 22USD/taxi), annoying timeshare people when you get there, expensive restaurants (breakfast buffet 28USD pp), credit card to authorize at least 500USD to spend in the resort due to their no cash policy. This is our second time in Mexico and came from an... More

My husband and I visited for a week and the first three days was touch and go. When we checked in we were advised about certain charged like $30.00 a day resort fee and $800.00 charge on Credit Card for incidentals. That was alright but once we were on our way to our room, a young lady grab us about... More

Mayan Palace was great place to have a vacation. It has everything you need and would want to do- from a pool that is the size of 4 football fields to great amenities and activities including golf. if it weren't for the constant construction going on, I would have given it an excellent score. There is available transportation within the... More

My husband and I had a fantastic time at this resort. We had a room on the ground floor in building two. The room was clean and updated. The resort grounds are huge and we walked a lot, which we love. The beach did have a smell, but there was lots of fish and some coral to see while snorkeling.... More

We did not expect a lot due to all the negative reviews, but as a family, we were all in the end very pleasantly surprised and will likely come back to Mexico, and to this place. The key is to keep an open mind, appreciate all the positives, and be aware of the negatives. Here is a brief summary: MINUSES:... More
