This is 30 room, family owned and professionally run hotel. It is set in good well maintained grounds, on a cliff top overlooking the sea. More on location later. There are ten original rooms and 20 newer ones, they are all the same acceptable size with generous furnished balconies. We upgraded to a newer, 'superior' room, it was about 20 steps from the pool and the same from the breakfast room. The rooms are contemporary, the bathroom is small but the walk in shower is massive and there's plenty of hot water, towels are changed on request. The pool has plenty of free sunbeds but lots of shade which may be welcome in July or August but, not terribly welcome at the end of September! The pool itself is not tiled, it has a base of tiny pebbles, if you are taking children, I'd recommend they wear plastic shoes in the pool and kiddies pool. The family that run Evripidis, from Gran, to her daughters and their children as well as Everipidis himself, are an absolute delight. The welcome was first class, the service excellent, nothing was too much trouble for any of the family. Breakfast, a buffet, had a decent selection of both hot and cold food and drinks. It was more than adequate for us, if a little repetitive. Maid service was OK but only OK. The rooms were clean and were cleaned daily, however, the beds were not made up well - we had twin beds and on one of the bedding changes, we had a double sheet on the bottom and singles on top! Not the end of the world and easy to overcome, I give this detail as an example of the maid service lack of attention to detail. The beach is visible from the hotel but getting to it is difficult, it's down a steep, actually very steep, makeshift set of steps that twist and turn. In places there is no handrail and even, no steps toward the bottom! Getting back up is difficult to say the least. Evripidis is set off of a dark, poorly maintained road which is not illuminated at night, it's about 1.5miles to Afitos (a nice touristy but traditional Greek village). It's about half a mile from Kallithea, this small resort town is nothing like any Greek resort I've ever been to. It is run down, dirty, full of empty closed down shops, arcades, fur and leather shops (which served the Russian visitors who have been absent since the Ukraine war started), fast food places and frankly, is just horrible. I'd go to the hotel itself again in a heartbeat but never will, due totally to the location.

Very friendly hotel. Staff brilliant and work hard for a great holiday. Made our stay such a good experience. Room was great with nice balcony to relax on. Walk down pathway to beach is ok but on way back trees keep you cool. We opted for beds at very reasonable cost. Nice sandy beach with Lear water.

Flawless service in a spotless hotel. One week was not enough. The staff can not do enough to help you. We felt really well.looked after. It may only be 2 star but don't let that put you off. What it does not offer in facilities is certainly made up for in service, quailty and location.

If you looking for perfect relaxing holiday in quiet area, with amazing sea view and warm unique Greek hospitality, great food and service, then Evripidis Hotel is a right place for you! This was first but 100% sure not the last time at this lovely charming place. Evripidis hotel is a family hotel which owners are more than kind and lovely people, always have their service with smile and love, they all made you feel so comfy and welcomed ! Lovely breakfast with homemade ingredients, fresh coffee and fruits, i love it! The location is very good, between Afitos and Kalithea. Both towns are walking distance. Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby, but I also liked Siviri, wich is just 10 min driving away. Beach is just 5 minutes down stairs from hotel, not busy and with natural shadow which i liked a lot! Most of the rooms are renovated and all have big balconies. The garden of the hotel is full with olive trees. In the lovely garden you can enjoy your drink. There is a pool area which has the most amazing stunning view I have ever seen. If you want to have a really good relaxing vacation, you must visit Evripidis Hotel, you will not regret! Greetings, Marija from Belgrade

Lovely Greek family run hotel which is kept very clean and tidy. We paid extra for air conditioning as it was quite hot while we were there. Rooms are a decent size with a balcony. Breakfast buffet was freshly made every morning with plenty of good coffee. Situated at the top of a cliff with beautiful views. There is a pathway through the woods to the beach which is quite steep and shouldn't be used if you are not sure footed. We wore sensible footwear and didn't find it a problem. We stayed to the left of the pier which was quiet with warm, clean turquoise water. To the right was too busy for us with bars and restaurants, music and all of the sunbeds. We ate several times by the pool, Greek salad, club sandwiches were absolutely lovely and very reasonably priced. The town of Kallithea was to the left of the hotel and about a 10 minute walk. There is a supermarket, restaurants and all of the usual tourist shops. We carried on walking for about 30 minutes and found a very quiet beach (keep going until you see the sign for the horse ranch, turn down there and follow the path to the sea) stopping off at Dias Restaurant on the way back for an excellent salad and a beer, looking out over the sea, very relaxing. The town of Afytos is to the right of the hotel, about a 35 minute walk along a quiet road. Lots of restaurants and shops with very Greek character. We ate three times in the Greek Tavern Bogiata which is in the square. Beautifully cooked traditional Greek food, Mousaka, I had the vegetarian one, absolutely delicious, Stifado, Slow cooked beef and really good salads. We had a very chilled out, very needed week in one of our favourite countries in the world.

Was lucky to have a family room although only 2 of us, so quite spacious. Would have liked some drawers to put clothes away but we managed. Good selection for breakfast, but would have liked fresh orange juice, not squash. The previous comments about the showers are about right. The shower holder needs to be lowered as our water went straight over the curtain, so had to hand hold. Would be much better with cubicles. The family were incredibly friendly and helpful and made me feel like one of them. Pool area is great and lots of beds including outside shower. Bar food and drinks slightly more than in town, but convenient. NB cash only. Taxi to Afytos 6€ and to Nea Fokea 12€. Local bars and restaurants all have great food and we found a few happy hours. Overall a great holiday and wish I was still there.

Excellent hotel. It runs like clockwork. It's kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. On arrival we were given the option of an upgrade but opted for the standard room which was fine for us. The a/c, safe and fridge were really welcome. Pool area was great with an updraught from the sea keeping things cool. There was plenty variety at breakfast and really good coffee served in an attractive setting. The family work hard to see you have a great holiday. Kallithea was good for bars and restaurants. Afitos pleasant 20 minutes stroll away. I can also recommend Thessaloniki for the day. We'd stay again.

This hotel was a perfect choice for a couples getaway! The location is great on the cliff top overlooking a stunning bay and beach. The pool area was clean with a great little pool bar serving snacks and cold drinks. The family who run the hotel take pride in everything they do. They are so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are basic but very clean with regular change of bedding and towels. Afytos and Kallithea are a short walk away with great eateries and bars. Afytos especially is a wonderful resort. Full of windy cobbled streets. Very pretty. Highly recommended!
