We booked a cross country skiing holiday through InnTravel. InnTravel were very good and the holiday was excellent. We had not been to Norway before and last cross country skied some 25 years ago in Canada. We were not disappointed with the location or the hotel. There was lots of snow, great trails and beautiful countryside to ski through. The... More

Stayed one night in July 2013. Had heard a lot about this hotel and how beautiful it should be. Arriving it looked promising at the entrance , an interesting old , wooden building. But the hotel has two more buildings connected to the original old one. One in gray brick and one that looked like a barrack ! Ugly both... More

I was part of an organised group of a dozen or so visiting Fefor for a week of cross-country skiing. The hotel is large but was very quiet in early March. The facilities are ideal for skiing, with spacious and well-insulated bedrooms complete with heated floor in the bathroom; comfortable lounge areas; very good ski storage and waxing facilities; and... We booked through Inntravel who are small very helpful and know their sites! As cross-country skiers we have been to France Lapland and Italy but this year we chose Norway and we were not at all disappointed. The journey via Heathrow and Norwegian Railways worked well - especially 3 hours through the snow on the train .....reminded me of those... More

Thanks to all the staff at Fefor for making Christmas this year one of the best ever. The first time we have gone away for Christmas week and we were not disappointed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. This was our second visit having been before but in February 3 years ago. Ideal for Christmas though. Very cosy. Very Christmasy feel... More

We arrived by car from Oslo and after a few hours drive, we discovered a magnificent scene in front of us, at +900m altitude. The hotel personnel is very friendly and helpful, the dinner buffet was really nice for such a big restaurant (+300 seats!!) The hotel is being used by bus groups, but it doesn't interfere your quiet stay... More

On a cold and rainy day, after getting caught in traffic jams in Oslo, and then encountering road construction and many detours on the way up north, we arrived at the tourist info in Lillehammer 10 minutes before they closed and the woman did not seem pleased that we showed up at the last minute. When we asked her to... More

We spent a magical Christmas with perfect snow and food. We rented one of the cabins with my parents and two small children and did half board at the hotel restaurant. We had beef, elk on the day prior to and following Christmas eve and a HUGE and beautiful Christmas buffet on the 24th. The breakfast was plentiful. The view... More
